I hope this isn't a double thread.
Just listened to this.
It's wonderful and co-incides with my own coming together with Carlton in 1961 as a ten year old.
"Gags" Gallagher obviously enjoys being himself and loves the club like we all do.
Treat yourselves to a bit over half an hour of living history.
Great initiative by the club.

Get Nicholls on.
PLEASE!

Also, a really good interview with Alex Marcou.

Thanks for the link. Loved it. The best part of these things is that in twenty years someone will be able to access them via whatever means. I sincerely hope they continue this but I repeat. Get Nicholls. I would just love to hear the great man speak about his time there.

Listened to the Gags and Marcou one - we were going to trade Marcou in 1978 to Essendon* before he played a senior game???????????

Thank goodness Serge stepped in on that one

Was one of the people that Alex was referring to - we stood with the Mr & Mrs Marcou and the rest of the Marcou family for many years in forward pocket in front of the Heatley Stand - many happy memories.

I have enjoyed all the Podcasts so far but loved the Buzz one the most

Fond memories of the great man, what an impact in only 3 years of footy - i can still remember the 1981 game against Sth melb he was talking about as i went to the lakeside oval to watch after playing junior footy in the morning - too bad it was as Princes Park :donk: - got to PP in time for the first bounce after a made ruch to watch the great man turn it on, he kicked a bag took 3 mark of the day's and we flogged them

I have attached a link to the pic he was referring to on the front of 1986 Inside Footy re the recruiting coup (need to scroll down, but it has Dorra, Wall, Buzz & Sticks)

I bought the poster of that mark from Footy World. I kept it until a couple of years ago when I moved to Mexico and I gave it to a disabled guy I worked with. He was stoked.

Nice gesture that

I have seen about 5 mark of the years live Snake Baker in 78 (even though it was a blur as a young lad), Moore in 79 over Fity (I think it won in that year), Buzz in 81, Raines in 82 (i think he got it that year over Fitzroy), Hunter 83, SOS 88, Lappin 99, Burton a few years back and was there for Walkers's but he was robbed

I saw SOS in 88. Now that was a mark and he was lucky to walk away from it. He could have broken his neck. I would have loved him at FF for 300 games.

Another good interview with Catoggio, still remember when him and reserves player Alan Hamilton came to my primary school in Carlton, we treated him like a rock star

One afternoon, two hour clinic and I still have fond memories of it and it was over 30 years ago
