Anne passed away peacefully on 31-12-12 at Epworth Hospital aged 65, following a brief illness.

For those of us who were close to the Club when Jezza arrived at Carlton; Anne-Marie was always a stalwart and of great support to Alex.

Respect and our thoughts go to Alex and his family.

How sad, from memory she was quite dignified compared to a lot of WAGS these days?

That is very sad. Condolences to the great man and his family.

I remember Anne Marie having a dress shop in Burgundy Street Heidelberg many years ago.

Also remember seeing her interviewed after the birth of their first child. And the godfather of that child was....Michael Williamson. (Blueseum please note).

RIP

I didn't know this sad news either. Annie was a very switched on and intelligent lady. Owned her own business for years and then started a new busines & ended up employing her husband, two daughters, son and daughter-in-law. Thoughts with the family. RIP.

IIRC early 90s she had a florist in Rathdowne St near my place called Jezzabelles.

In the late 70s early 80s, she had a dress shop in Burgundy St Heidelberg - opposite Sportsworld where I used to get my runners and football boots when I was in High School.

I must confess I used to stare through the window hoping that I might catch a glimpse of the great man perhaps visiting his wife, people may have thought I was an effeminant schoolboy with a penchant for cross dressing.

RIP Mrs J. Very sad to read. She was so young. To lose two kids and grand kids - devastating.

Condolences to Alex and his family.

RIP Anne-Marie.
Condolences to her family.

I remember her very well. She was a client of mine in Noosa in the late 80's.
She had the shop Jezzabelles when Alex was cpaching Noosa Tigers.
Met him numerous times at the shop.

Beautiful woman with a great spirit.

Those details are listed in this Obit/Tribute I posted in this thread yesterday.
