That's interesting, I just read a snippett in the Herald Sun that Coutts had organised for our new recruits to be unveiled to the media at 2pm on a particular day.
The media rolled up but the players were a bit late getting to the press conference. Apparantley the 3 new boys were booked at 2pm by Mick Malthouse to do some altitude training.
He provided the awaiting media Mars Bars as they waited and watched the 3rd test on TV.

The Doc is happy...I knew he would be as soon as I heard.

And so am I.

Thanks for the effort, albeit too long in the role....was it really 20 years?

Definitely. As hard as Coutts may have tried, the Club lacked a decent media/social media presence, and is still lagging. The Club should have seen the writing on the wall some time ago and tapped him on the shoulder, and been more brutal, as they were with other loyal servants to the club over the years.

Gone on the same day Anderson announces his leaving the AFL. Co-incidence? Surely after his stellar efforts he here has been tapped to take on the challenging role of 2IC to Vlad.

Maybe TalkingCarlton (and other forums presumably) won't be so on the outer with the club any more.

No idea, but its a good picture just the same.

Someone should set up a Myspace tribute page for Ian.
