Later in the interview he was asked if he considers himself more a Carlton player or a Port player and he said he considers himself a Blues player. |

Can completely understand what he's saying. Let's face it, we were a rabble. The same has been said by many players who were around in that era. Not only was the club in financial strife, which would put a lot of stress on a player, but we also had poor facilities and had no success at all on the field. At the same time, Port were actually strong and went on to win a premiership. It would've been tough for him. |

Sad but understandable. Would have been a Port premiership player He came to the club and was instantly our BEST player. And didn't do it easy. Quickly acquired a hard tag each week and had to do all the tough in and under stuff as opposed to his freewheeling outside running role at Port. Super player though, with rare balance and football smarts and exquisite kicking skills. Actually thought he deserved the captaincy when Lance stood down and Juddy arrived. Pity the neck injury shortened his career by several years. Could do with him now. |

There have been big wraps on him for his coaching of the Gippsland u/18 team. Would he be worth considering for one of our assistant roles next year? |
