So far since ending our season we've had two players walk out(I know both not required), one top prospective rookie apparently on edge of leaving, a cloke rumour worth nothing, pursued Lynch and likely hav lost him to pies, goddard to one of our greatest rivals, moloney & toy preferring ess apparently too and an Irish we've had our eye on for a while now has opted to go to hawks.

Mick get in there and start working ur magic. Obviously this is mostly rumours at this stage but hoping we start taking steps forward in the very near future.

We have already got the best recruit we could get. Malthouse.

I have no problem with us not willing to over pay any free agents. Let others do that. Also, don't believe every negative rumor about the club.

I thought we had more players putting their hand up to come to us then ever seen or heard of before.......I'm sure some well informed posters where telling us this just day's ago and it all had to do with Malthouse.

Malthouse is still the best coach in the AFL, despite being out for 12 months - gets the best out of his players, and is a smart tactician and leader of people.

He will be wiser and better for the year out, and our club needs to embrace this change, not resist it, for any success to eventuate

Depends on who he wants and how much he has in the salary cap Surrey...
Remember... keeping Joseph and Davies etc contracted and the salary cap contracts were from before he came....
We have a footy manager to do that... and along with Ratten they were the list managers...
Doesnt mean players dont wanna come to us.. might mean... we can fit people in if we trade say a simmo and a ruckman...

Right???

If we trade Simmo... Doesn't even bear thinking about. I'd rather trade Judd.

certainly does feel that we aren't doing a great deal, would be nice to have a coach who isn't starting work for a month

The title of this thread is a bit like the way this club has managed itself over the past few years - as if by one Mr. Wilkins Macawber.
