Is there also a Vote to kill Kevin Bartlett option as well??

Because if he is on the panel Yaz can kiss any chance he has goodbye.

Voting makes no difference, just giving the afl website hits. Last year walker won it hands down and the committee chose who they wanted. They will never choose a Carlton player.

Given it happened in round one, I thought people would've almost forgotten the goal. Goes to show how great the goal was.

Shades of Matty Lappin's opening round mark against Essendon* all those years ago.

Not a great year for goals if those are the best 3. For me the Yarran goal was the standout for its artistry and making opponents look very silly.

Agree.

The other two were more about leg speed and determination than the actual goal itself.

Yarran broke Maric tackle, out ran Martin and Morris and slotted it from 45 on the boundary.

If it were Rioli, He would've been handed the car keys in the post game interview.

When I look at Yarran's goal I think how the hell did Lloyd win goal of the year for that pissy little backheal that he arsed against us from 2 metres out. Smug diving flower!

Bloody hell, it wasn't even the Carlton goal of the year. Casboult's stunner v the Bummers was our best I thought.

That said, Yarran's clearly beats the other two nominations. Jettas was just a running goal, and the Adelaide guy simply got on the end of it after following up his dodgy kick.

Yarran's showed pace, handling skill, balance, and it was a great running goal on a tight angle.

So, I fully expect Jetta to get it.

I reckon a little emphasis needs to be put on who you are playing and the status of the game when the goal is kicked.

Yarran v Richmond we were one goal up

Jetta v Bulldogs 60 points up

Sloane v GWS 40 points up

I voted but they will give it to Jetta.
