Seems all but certain Glen Jakovich will be with Mick at Carlton next year. He was just asked a direct yes or no question by the FoxFooty panel and chose to ignore the question by saying he supported the Blues as a kid and still has a soft spot for us. Hopefully he'll bring some extra mental toughness to our defenders. |

I used to love watching him play, he is one bloke who could say he beat Wayne Carey on more occassions than the other way around - he was a champ ![]() |

Was talk somewhere he'd been seen recently with MM. Coached together with the International Rule series, apart from that I'm not sure what Jakovich has been doing footy club wise (apart from 6PR & Fox). Maybe involved with South Fremantle in the WAFL as well. |

Judging by his commentary I am not overly impressed with his grasp on the modern game nor his ability to communicate a message clearly. I am, however, aware it is not necessarily an accurate gauge to judge ones coaching ability on ones commentary. |

Although, to be fair, SOS was an absolute spud when it came to tv commentary, and yet seemed to get a reasonable run as an assistant coach. Not sure if he was actually any good at it though. |

The more I think about it, the more I think Micks a legend. Not only does he have a bunch of desperate fools handing their club over to him, he's cutting his mates into a bit of the financial action! Surely we can find a role for Christi and Nanette too? |

The important thing is that we give sticks a couple more years at the helm, so he can get the flag he deserves. Any other club (except the dees) I'd think this was all part of a plan that I, as a humble supporter, just didn't get. You know... Don't jump at shadows, only rumors, have faith, etc. But with the idiots we've got running the joint, I have no confidence in any decision the CFC makes. Assuming the worst comes naturally when you follow this club. |

Specialist coach at best I would have thought. Wouldn't make him a line coach myself. |

I don't really want to get off topic with this....but a question just for you John as everyone else's thoughts are pretty much known and I think you've demonstrated you know what you're talking about. Who else has put their hand up to be president? There are a lot of names mentioned, but is Sticks actually holding anyone out of the big chair? |
