Same same article about talking to Malthouse, talking to Roos etc but then noticed this little beauty at the bottom. Can't come quick enough.

Quote:
Carlton's stadium deal with Etihad Stadium will expire at the end of the 2014 season and Swann said the Blues were intent on making the MCG their home ground from 2015 onwards.

"We think we're an MCG club," he said.

It'll be a 7-4 split most likely. That's fine by me.

The more I think about Ian Collin's legacy he has left with Carlton the more and more I want to spew.

Thank god we're moving towards fixing this club that was brought to it's knees under his reign.

We need to get away from Etihad. We are a totally different side when we play at the G.

True.

I'd hate to think we would determin our on-field expectations by how many games we get at the big ground.

I agree, but if it is going to make our life easier then I am for it. I aso think this would help our flagging membership if we were to play most games at the G

Ignore the usual suspects in here Darth. They have proven wrong on so many levels, yet still ignore the facts!

Yep, I'm not sure in what universe Etihad is considered a better venue for anything apart from rainy nights and overly sunny days (if they close the roof that is). We should still win wherever, but it's hard not to see Collo as not having a hand in driving us to the Dome.

I knew I would make you smile.....

$$$$$ & membership for starters. We're just leading the pack in both......I'm not getting into this though as I'm tired of going over the same ground with you......but just think about what you where sprouting before our move on our debt, what we would make from home games at Etihad and how much our membership would grow compared to MCG......as I said however.....

Now it's all Kernahan's fault ignoring the rope around his neck (called Etihad contract) which even Pratt couldn't remove......

After 2014, we should never again play a home game against a Victorian club at Shitihad. Nor the bigger interstate clubs.

A 7/4 split would only be acceptable if 2 of those 4 are against GWS and GCS

membership????

$$$$$ what dollars surrey???

explain how membership and dollars would go up???

please..

i mean itemize it..

first explain how we would find $50 million to finance PP....cos thats what you have been saying..

second.. explain how we organise the fixtures to either play at pp... or at the mcg.. when the mcg already was full......

i know u keep saying stuff... but u dont say it with logic... which means what u say has no logic....

next.... sticks was part of the board that voted for change.....

ok now explain away....cos at some poin t you need to make some points that are logical .... mindless ramblings are abit bah.....

So off you go....

If we move to MCG it will be a good start.

Carlton will never get to 50,000 members whilst being at Etihad.

Reason? I suggest there is about 45,000 available seats for Carlton members - the remaining seats are for Etihad or AFL Members.

We still need to develop Princes Park to a 60,000 seat stadium - this is my vision.

Have a look at what Geelong are doing ........

The sooner we get to the MCG the better

People who believe that redeveloping PP are dreaming, aint gunna happen for Carlton games - at very best, maybe GWS VS Bulldogs

I used to love going to PP, but we will never see a Carlton game there again for premiership points
