On the basis of all the scuttlebut, I'm assuming MM is a done deal. So what changes do you expect to see under the new coach?

I reckon:

1 - bigger bodies, and especially bigger bums
2 - a lot more sacrificial team acts, especially shepherds (can't remember when was the last time I saw a Carlton player shepherd)
3 - midfielders being more accountable
4 - much better defensive set ups behind the ball - instead of one-on-ones and lots of space in our defensive 50, I expect to see some of our defenders sitting back behind the ball (and a loose man back)
5 - a couple of fringe players stepping up to become first 18 players (although to be fair that happens with ever new coach)

I reckon:
Our players will kick precisely on both left and right
We won't have injuries
We will start selecting quality players in the National draft

Bring on MM

The key to Mick is playing our guys to their strengths. It will take a season to work this out so we need to be patient.

How? They either do it now or they don't. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

?? How will MM control this ?? How did Ratten have control of this? Am I missing something here?

?? Shane Rogers is Recruiting Manager...not MM's domain.

I also think we'll have our coach on the footy shows a lot more often than has happened over the last 5 years. When the choice is Sticks or Ratts, it's not surprising the club's been wary.

I also expect young players to be given real responsibility when brought into the team rather than being the sub and then being dropped the week after.

I reckon we would see a side a bit more disciplined from a team play point of view, as a team we dont block, shepherd, chase, harass as well or more importantly as consistently as the top few teams do

An actual forward structure would be nice.

Plan B?

You mean an alternative to "just bomb it long and hope"?

I want to see that after we have a good win against a good side, that we can actually back up against an average (or even poor) side read: Essendon*, St Kilda, Norf, Port, Suns

Young players actually looking ready and not overawed when they make their debuts.
