We finished 10th (11th?) - but at least we beat Collingwood twice! And we got a nice chicken wing.

Also: McInnes, Casboult, and Bell got games. (but only by accident - Ratts wouldn't have played them if there were no injuries)

Also: injuries

Also: Eddie has big shorts

McLean Eddie murph bell Mcinnes bell better than last year
Injuries a factor
Not got enough out of our list
A lack of leadership at all levels
Like the Olympic swim team talk the talk but can't won't walk the walk
Lost members by displays this year
Club in disarray
Hard list decisions to be made
Hard coaching decisions to be made
Board and management mediocre

Skill level deplorable
Kicking for goal cost us a number of games
end of Judd and Ratten era
Nothing to be taken out of season

Sticks still reluctantly leading the club nowhere.
Ratten still doing his apprenticeship.
Playing group still folding under pressure.
Still some people who think we're the next Geelong.
Still worry that some of those people are actually on the CFC board.
Still no closer to our 17th flag.
Still on track to become the new Richmond, if we aren't already.
But at least we're still Carlton, f&@# the rest, hey.

We are not good enough
We need to be brave and trade some players for draft picks and use them on kids who have very good skills.
We need a whole new coaching staff

This season has shown us the decreasing likelihood of Judd seeing a premiership in navy blue.

This match was a perfect summary of our season: after a couple of good games, we seem to think all we have to do is show up to win. When the stakes are high (secure top spot earlier in the season, grab a spot in the 8 after a terrible few months) we go to pieces.

The big danger is we pass off the season as being destroyed by injuries.
Player attitude cost us much more this year than did injuries.

We should have easily beaten Essendon* (first time), st kilda, port adelaide and GC even with all our injuries.
Ratts will not be coach next year. But no coach can fix our problems unless the players decide they want to for themselves, like Geelong did a few years back.
We don't need wholesale changes to our list. We need serious changes between the ears.

Such a waste. And to think we could have been playing collingwood in week one of the finals...

I have refused to attend games since the round 4 game where Essendon* creamed us and I wont be attending games and pay to be a member until the following happens
The board is replaced and the Pratt influence is gone. I want Fahour as President and a board of 6 who think in the 21st Century. I want a club that relies less on handouts from the Pratts and Mathieson.

From there things will get better
in all areas.
new recruiters
better list management
better coaching

A better more professional outlook from everyone including the players.

At the moment the culture is old fashioned built on the old Carlton arrogance with the quick fix solution
The Judd deal is classic Carlton
And it hasnt worked

Why sign Waite, Warnock and Gibbs to long term deals given their form and injuries this year

This club is going down hill

I am embarrased to support them and no Carlton supporter should be suprised by last nights result because that peformance has been coming for 12 years.

It sums everything up

I will get my wish and Ratten will go now but I want a new President and new board and a new CFC.
The old one is like a dinasour turd that is still breathing
