As per channel 7 news. Board split on whether to keep ratts, or bring in malthouse. Swann the driver? You would think now for certain that either swann or ratts will not be at the club next year? |

Isn't their 3 factions? I've lost count. Wonder if the 'keep Ratts' group, is actually more of a case of a 'Get Roos' team with an eye to 2014, considering that 12 months ago he was supposedly the preferred option of the Pratt crew and rumour has it will be available in that time... Could also just all be crap,... |

If this is true then heads should roll. Things like this should NEVER leak to the press. Our season is still (in theory) alive and this is a disgrace. Say what you like about Ratts (most on here do), he deserves more respect than that. If it is not true, Carlton must immediately debunk it through Swann and state that the season is alive and all positions will be considered, as they always are, at the end of the year. |

Didn`t see the report but how does Ch 7 know? They are so pro Essendon* it would`t surprise me if it was an attempt to destabilise us before the weekend. |

In the sense that if true, most of the key staff at the club, as well as the board, are completely out of tune with each other, and it's getting more public and open. No organization runs well like that, doesn't matter who the people are or how good. The board, the high perf manager, the CEO, the coach, recruiting etc all need to be generally heading in the same direction. Some diff. of opinion and disagreement is healthy, but looks like we're way beyond that now? |

The board has been split for a while. Reality is that only Sticks now wants Ratten to stay. You have a lot of smart businessman that simply don't see Ratten as a leader and the guy to take us to the top. It was split last year and Roos was approached. He declined so Ratten was given a last minute reprieve. This year was Top 4 or gone. Nothing has changed. The fact is that the board want MM as does Swann and the deal will be completed once season is over. |
