Didn't sound like he wants his kids to play footy and if they do he'd be happy for them to play anywhere but Carlton. Sounds like he is till very bitter about the Club.

Not sure what SOS said, but he loves the blues as do his boys - if they are good enough they'll be wearing Navy Blue

He won't be found anywhere near the club as long as Sticks and Co are there....I thought this was obvious and well known....

Up until last season I used to see SOS and his kids regularly attending Blues games (with the kids all decked out in navy blue ).

But watching this interview he did sound very bitter indeed. Obviously no love lost between him and Big Jack. Doesn't sound like he has much time for Sticks either....

I'll have to catch the bulk of it on replay, but at least i saw confirmation at the end that Michael Long's GF goal was touched

Very soft interview by Mike (even more than usual).

Didn't push SOS at all on any hard questions.

Really a complete waste of time for anyone that knows anything about Carlton.

Anyone know how Jack and his brothers are tracking?

I am disturbed by the SOS interview it raises many questions. How did an absolute legend of the club fall out with the club when the club should be embracing him??.
The salary cap issue is clearly still ambiguous as to what he did or didnt do and say but it seems that the AFL effectively blackmailed him. The club must close this chapter and work out how to get SOS (and his boys) back involved with Carlton, surely he has a lot to offer maybe in list management - he seems to be doing a great job at GWS.

One thing I found very interesting (and this says more about my memory than anything) I didn't realise that Fev played in the game that SOS got KO'ed.

Fev was the first one over to remonstrate.

The look on Murphy's face on the Geelong bench was telling.

Still makes my blood boil!

Yeah if you watch the angle behind the goals it is clear he touched it, the ball spins differently after the touch.

I think he feels his mates dobbed him in for salary cap breaches

I remember at the time the club( Collins) told him to tell the afl everything, and as he stated tonight , that's what he did. Fraser Brown stayed quiet , got the well done from Elliot etc, and SOS was branded a traitor. thing is BRown had finished playing by then, and had nothing to gain or protect , SOS did what he was told.

Is this correct ?

The salary cap issue got a bit painful, it was clear SOS wasn't going to say much. I thought one glaring omission from Sheahan was not asking about joining the Carlton One board ticket that went against Elliott and Sticks in 2002. That was a huge moment in the club's history, two legends going against each other. Might have explained the apparent fall out with Sticks.

Was accused by people from the club that he was a traitor.....

Same people who knew about the salary cap rortings or were behind it and wanted him to be their accomplices.

Silvagni and Braddles were never paid the money they were owed...

silvagni has been involved with other clubs since and they have been employing him... so he sees the world not through blue coloured glasses anymore.....
