A quick pat on the back for the CFC...
Today was the annual Rites of Passage day at the G - they let about 500 kids have a kick on the G before the game (yeah i know, we used to do it after every game) but these days it's a novelty.
Took my two along.
Well done to the blues, we had 3 blokes at the signing table - Andrew Collins, Andrew Walker and Marcus Davies. The best represented of all the clubs and all three really great with their time. Bloke in front of me thought Marcus Davies was Aaron Joseph, then corrected himself 'nah I think it's Levi Casboult'... they had a chuckle about that.
But yeah, great to see 3 blokes taking a lot of time with the kids - not true of all the players there from other clubs.
Aside from the blue boys, both Adam Cooney and Josh Gibson were great as well. Most players know that in that moment they're signing an autograph for a kid, they're the centre of the kid's universe. Some still find it necessary to basically ignore the holder of the paper and read the paper or laugh with the bloke next to them...
Such a small thing but it means a lot to those involved.
A well organised day by the MCG, and a good showing from our 3.
