Clearly something has happened with Kane Lucas and the clubs refusal to play him despite all our injuries and poor form.
Has he spoken to/signed with GWS or another club???
Has he had discipline/attitude issues???
Has he had a fall out with Ratts???

I asked him in person about 4 weeks ago and he hoped to be in the side e following week (not that he would tell me otherwise)

(Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find it)

He will probably be the Shaun Grigg of 2013

A long time ago,
in a galaxy far, far away.....

yeah, sorry...It's bugging me too.I'd love an explanation on Lucas, and Thornton too.
It might be something they can answer on The Blueprint.
I think people might be less disgruntled, with some concise explantions.

Well that helps. Hopefully the new coach rectifies the issue.....

Lucas is hardly setting the world on fire in the VFL
but then neither is anyone else.
where does the fault lie? Player or development?

There has been a few times this year (when given the oppertunity) its was his turn to put his body on the line and he didnt. Also gave up to easily chasing opposition with the ball. Yeah there are other players that have done the same at times too. Not sure if the MC like his pretty boy attitude either

^^ agree.

Undoubtedly talented but really needs to show the desire for it. Needs to hang around with Robbo for a bit.

Yeah nah. I've heard that they actually don't mind YOUR pretty boy attitude, so not really sure why you're not getting a game.

Look, I don’t like to post rumours especially when I can’t verify the actual source but I have a close friend who has contact with Kane (through his work) and Kane has repeated on few occasions that he will be asking for a trade back to WA at year’s end. My friend indicated to me that he is frustrated and dispirited at present.

I said maybe he should try putting his head over the ball and improving some deficiencies in his game. Not sure if this will be relayed to Kane but it irritated me that he would feel and want to do this when he clearly has some work to do on his football. The Shaun Grigg comparison is certainly an apt one!

I also asked my friend if Kane had mentioned whether Ratts had lost the playing group and he said that no mention of anything along these lines.

Please be gentle on me. I am only relaying what I have been told and I was 50/50 about putting it on here but considering the thread I thought I would

Not much you can do with the go home factor. They get home sick and morale worsens if these interstate kids not getting regular games. A little concerned about Paddy in that regard.

If he was to be traded to WA, would we take Kody Stevens? From what i have seen, would be a fair trade..

That's the obvious one. Or Jack Gunston type trade.

AJ is one of the few in the team that is given a job and does it week in, week out? Yes - ordinary disposal and decision making, but he's done his job the last month or
so.

I have seen Garlett & gibbs pull out a few times this year. Do they get dropped for 10 weeks? Isn't development about getting into a young guys head and turning him around? They are kids, you dispirit them, if you leave them in the bullants forever when they have more talent than most in a weak side. Totally different if we were a top team

As you say, Kane has been his own worst enemy.
When you get to the end source, most players not playing regularly will have some grievances. Bad luck and that won't stop going back home either.

Kane has to do no more than to look at some of his early games to know he isn't being selected regularly.
It's a real shame as Lucas had a terrific pre-season, but until he stops worrying about ruffling his hair-style, he'll have a problem wherever he goes.

He'll be fine though. Just has a little to learn about what is required to play at this level.
