NO NO a thousand times NO. The boom recruit is not something you can keep looking too. Judd was one and it was necessary but EXPENSIVE. You don't insert a Cloke salary in a cap and just hope everyone else will play for less. There is already a massive issue with how our boy's work together, having two blokes on more than a significant number of the rest of the team put together won't create a team that works together. There is no white knight, there is only hard work. WCE, Geelong, Pies (Ball and Jolly are not that expensive) Bombers, Adelaide, Sydney should give us a clue as to whats required. |

I heard a little whisper this morning that we are into a different Collingwood player in a big way. The strategy appears to be that Cloke is gunna push up their TPP and somebody will have to fall out the other end. I am told that the player in question is a midfielder, but have no idea who it might be. The same whisperer, said that yes we want Travis and believe we will prevail, but not the one you guys are discussing. One way or another we will get a hard bodied experienced mid from another club. We will see! |

We will see! At what expense? Who knows, but let's face it, we have a lot of dead wood, that you would expect to be traded, retired or delisted at the end of the season. We have a heap out of contract at the moment. Depending on the mooted Head coaching moves, if there is a change; you can guarantee that there will also be a cleanout of other coaches and certainly the list will be culled. There are plenty of guys on here who could point out the likely movements. |
