Will probably just tip Synbad over the edge but...

.....FWIW, Aker was Adelaide radio tonight and claimed that he recently had dinner with J.Elliott who told Aker that he'd received a phone call from Sticks during the week needing advice as to how to handle the coaching situation.

Jack then asked Aker for suggestions of a replacement and the three he gave were Roos, Malthouse and Ayres but just suggested to consider them all and have a look around.

Aker then followed it up with a tweet along the lines of "Expect a luncheon consisting of Jeanne Pratt, Sticks, and Jack in regards to the upcoming Carlton coaching job. Roos, Ayres and Malthouse is the preferred running order" as well as a photo posted of them together at dinner.

Elliott is a fool who still thinks he has a say at Carlton. Does anyone seriously think Sticks would approach him about this? Elliott is full of it.

Yeah, yeah I do actually. I'd prefer it if he were full of it.

Wow, just wow. Gary Ayres.

I can believe it as well.

Under pressure people often revert to type.

Same with Ratt's with Walls and Parkin.

..Eddie has done a bloody good job at colonwood, and still is.. ..reckon as prez's go though, Kennet was better..

edit - basic rule of thumb, you can tell how good a prez is by how often they tell the AFL to shove it..

Ayers would be great. He'd solve our depth problems overnight. We'd have two of Murphy, two of Judd, two of Henderson... Two of everyone!

We must be of a similar age, i have also been alive for 8 premierships but i can remember 7. I can remember the 1970 grand final like it was yesterday.
I have a daughter who barracks for Carlton, its hard for her to imagine what a powerful Carlton is all about. In fact she is starting to lose interest and hasnt been to many matches this year.
I guess time will tell how this is all going to pan out.

kezza i actually remember 7 but...... i burst this capillary in the noggin and forgot one of them while i wrote that.....

we probably went to school together.....

You just never know, we may have. You were probably the one who pulled my hair and made me cry.

The Oligarchs????

Its funny isnt it?
These guys have never been more connected to the club and the rank and file supporters have never been more disconnected.

And the club is going belly up.
