Forget about the old timers e.g. Malthouse and Roos.....it is time we tapped into the younger generation. Anyone who has watched North over the past couple of weeks will admire the way Brad Scott has this team playing and will admire him on what he gets out of his players who are not superstars. It is good hard competitive footy and very similar to the way Scott played. In his day, Scott wasn't the most talented player going around but he did get the most out of himself. He knows what the fringe players need to do to have a positive influence in a team. He would harden up our number 1 draft picks.

Put Scott in our environment and he would sort the stuffing out of the place and tell people (players, assistant coaches, presidents, interlopers) some very good home truths. He would not back away from a fight. Like setting the cat amongst the pigeons.

We should be throwing everything at Scott.

I like this article....sums him up nicely and he knows what is required to win football games.

What about how they played against Hawthorn and Bulldogs. Do we want that style too??
My B-I-L is a Kangas fan and he wants Scott replaced.

They have had no injuries to speak of this year and are relying on the fact that Carlton, St kilda , Freo etc are falling over.

No thanks

How would Brad Scott structure the forward line with no key forwards?

North are starting to come good. Pretty sure brad will want to reap the rewards of his hard labor.
Why are we always running with our hands out, trying to grab the glittering chimera a few paces ahead?

OK lets talk about it in a couple of weeks :donk:

North are under development and will have the poor losses. They look to be getting their game together at the right time of the season though.

So we now have Roos, Malthouse, Thompson, Scott and of course Ratten, threads.

Time for a TalkingCoaches forum.

He was sounding very much the long term Norf man in the post match presser.

It was all about loyalty, owing the Norf supporters success and how they are the best people in the world.

Might be tough to get him out of there.

No thanks, not a fan of game plan which I don't believe would stand up to finals football, and selections, even from a passing interest, are baffling at best.

..has kinda admitted the roo's have shite kickers, hence the happy handball tactics being employed.. ..thing is, he's not a first year coach, so who's to 'blame' for a shite kicking team..?..

Also the losss against Port Adelaide when they were 5 goals up approx 10mins into the last qtr.
With a good run so far with injuries and playing both GWS and Gold Coast twice they should be expected to make the finals.

This!

Next year when we have a great year with injuries and get to play GC and the Suns twice, we'll make finals as well. Just like Adelaide.
Seeing as we are going to finish about 10th, it would not be fair for us to play all the top eight teams twice again, would it? Even if we are a big crowd-drawing and money-making milch cow for the AFL.

We'll get West Coast and Adelaide twice next year then

I agree with buzz and Humpers - Norf have had a good injury run, a good draw, and teams around them struggling.

No thanks.
