Sick of arguing. In my opinion we are in deep sh1t and to get back on track and be the best club in the AFL I would.

Leave Swann as CEO

Convince Matheson to be President

Coaching staff:

Roos/Malthouse either and they would be able to appoint their own staff
Burns
Leppitsch
Adam Simpson
Ross Smith
Brett Ratten (VFL)

Recruitment:

Stephen Wells
Matt Rendell

Fitness:

The Weapon

Football Manager:

Neil Balme/Geoff Walsh

Communications:

?

Trade a ruckman to GWS for early pick.
Go after one gun midfielder ala Boak

Never wear light blue again

Be aggressive in trade week.

Embrace free agency

Stand alone VFL side

Turnover at least 6-8 players from list. Recruit mids, mids and mids.

Good luck convincing a 67 year old man worth $730 million residing in a Gold Coast beach-front property worth $18 million to spend his winters back in Melbourne. He'd be better off communicating his ideas through...oh, I dunno - a wealthy business-minded Carlton supporting nephew perhaps?

A board reduced to 7
B one of McClure or walls on the board
C if Ahmed or Mathewson don't want the presidency give it to geminder and he doesn't want it convince him to co president a young businessman, with the aim of training him up.
D play games against interstate clubs at visy park. The afl need another ground and that would truly boost our membership and bring the carlton back to Carlton.
E get SOS back to Carlton in some capacity board member, coaching, list manager
F northern bullants to play all home games at visy and train at visy park
G conduct a proper process in appointing a coach.
H be the first club to compete overseas for premiership points
I develop a recruiting strategy revolved around trading Gibbs, trading a high teen pick for 2 picks, culling the list

4 weeks.
But then again under Roman, Ratts could go out & buy whichever player he wanted - not just Demons castoffs.

Calls for Silvagni, Sellars, Walls, games at Visy Park etc would make us more old school Carlton than we are currently criticised for already being.

Get Sloane.

Not produce merchandise in Collingwood colours.

Recruit players who show some sign of possessing the skiills of the game.

Have the team:

a) Sing the song correctly.

b) Wear Navy Blue.

c) Practise the basics really well, particularly kicking for goal, tackling, and ruck work.

Deep, hey?

And not being in the inner sanctum, I wouldn't have a clue about those at the helm.

Recruit more mids?

You've got to be kidding. We have too many already. We need key defenders so that Gibbs can play in the midfield or forward. A player of his talent is lost as a defender and it's showing with his poor form.

Another key forward would be good too.

Can't rely on Waite due injury, heart muscle problems & brain fades that have seen him top of the video list at the MRP.

LEADERSHIP is what is really lacking. Let Swann do his job. Get leaders to the club who are allowed to make the tough decisions and point the team in the right direction. Onfield performances are showing a distinct lack of LEADERSHIP.

If we are going to get a new coach then PLEASE go through a process of interviewing them rather than appointing one because they are a big name. See a) if they understand the trends in the modern game and b) if they have a method of innovating rather than immitating the previous years premiers.
