When Richard Pratt took over as President, he did say Carlton would go out and get the best (not best available) people to fill all important roles. So, Do We Have The Best:

Senior Coach?
Assistant Coaches?
Recruiting Manager?
List Manager?
CEO?
President?

Considering we have gone from wooden spooner & broke to playing finals regularly and profitable I say it is pretty close.

I truly believed we were on the right track when we recruited:

Pratt (President), then he bought in:

Swan
Judd
Cordy
Richardson

That was a good start. Then he passed away and his legacy mau have ended there:

Brown was the next successful assistant coach.

The problem I have with all this is that the best development coaches were from Collingwood in Richo and Browny and we got 'em.

What went rong?

Ok ....

I do.. and we sit mid table for turnover... my point.

Now profitability... means whatever you want it to mean...ask your accountant.

Second... we have a debt that has never been eaten into...

Third. How much of the turnover is club generated and how much is from sources like AFL/State govt/Council and donations???

Any idea???

Maybe Dr Sherrin can help us and then compare that to leading clubs.

Break it down scapponi!!!

Do you want to try????
