Ellard and Siposs subs. No late changes.

Sweet - let's get on with talking about the game and taking top spot on the ladder tonight!

I reckon we will win by 4-5 goals after an ugly, tight 1st half. Judd BOG after the rest and being held early.

Waite to kick 3.6 and 2 OOF.

Their tall defenders are their weakness. Rotate the rucks at FF with eddie at their feet and ensure Waite leads up so we can seperate their defenders.
Lastly, win the contested ball and goal from 30%+ of our forward entries and we'll win the game.

Juddy will break the shackles and have a field day.
Waite control the air and kick a bag.
Murphy make amends for last week.
Jammo and Hendo show why they are a formidable tall duo.
With some spectacular forward plays.

Shit, we just bagged them by 83.

I am really hoping to see a lift in intensity around the ball translating to winning clearances and contested possessions. Think we have the tools back and forward to handle them if we get on top in the middle.

Don't care about he margin, just looking for four points and being on top!

I wish I was there. Ireally stuffed the entry in the diary.
Really looking forward to thrashing the Saints, and should based on what I saw last game at the G Rnd 22 2012.
I reckon they're a better team without Lyon nowadays. They are not the team which played in 2 recent GF's.

The ruck is where it all starts. We control the play.
Kosi and Reiwoldt are in form and dangerous.
Pity for them the ball will be on the otherside of the of the park.
The Carlton midfield should win the arm wrestle in the middle.
The pace of outriders and forwards should rip 'em up with limited opportunity.

Judd Murphy
Jamo Kennedy
Waite Hampson
Walker Betts
Kreuzer Gibbs
Scotland Simpson

I know there's plenty more great combos in the Carlton team, but the above is the reason we will win it.

Lets see if Bower can repeat his great game?
I hope Duigan finds his stride.

I feel it will be an easy win.
I will do the same as I've done in each roumd and bet they win by 60+

Robbo is going to scare the shit out of them...and Armfield's pace will reign them in.

Win it early, break their spirit and set up for the Crows.

Still nervous though....could be just excitement. :smoking: Fingers crossed.

Go Bluebaggers

Look to a lot of improvement from Curnow, Russell, Bower, Garlett, Joseph, Ellard,

Gibbs isn't half the player Watson is....

Hahahaha.

But seriously I think the game will be won by our rucks getting first use, up against Blake, kosi, Stanley? None of which are ruckmen. Mids SHOULD be able to dominate from there and expect eddie and Jeff to cause plenty of headaches.

Murph for bog. Can't see him playing 2 bad games in a row.

Blues by 6 - 8 goals

There is no pre match thread for next weeks game so I'll whack it in here.

Taylor Walker suspended for 2 games for sling tackle.
Is a bigger danger than Tippett and is now out.
Unfortunate as we want to beat sides at full strength but I can't complain

No doubt we will be primed for this game, hence lackluster game last week.

Should be a good challenge. The Saints won't lay down to tonight, they need to stay in touch with the pack.

Our Midfield is under the microscope.

Don't think it will be an easy win. Hope we can dominate the middle as we should, but without carrots we haven't been getting that quick ball out of the centre anywhere near as often as we did earlier in the season. (or at least that is my unsupported impression)
I hope ed curnow dominates and Montagne (sp?) spends the game doing nothing and getting getting frustrated!
Go Blues..

Nearest the pin: the minute mark at which "number 1 draft pick" will get a run tonight

THis game should be different from previous encounters during the Lyon era.

If they open the game up a bit like they did against the Hawks is going to get them in strife
