I reckon Ratts is stroppy because some media took the opportunity to act as though Carlton were being sly or deceptive by resting players last week.

IMO he handled it badly by pretending they were injured. Just come out and say what everyone knows, they're having a rest. We do get treated differently in the media sometimes, but we did ourselves no favours.

I caught the tail end of a discussion on AFL 360 the other night and they were saying that teams get compensation for injured players and not rested players. Stating they are rested is not financially beneficial it seems.
