So we have come a long way and I have asked myself the question.....How many players on our list are an automatic inclusion on selection night?? Here's my list... Judd Murphy Kruezer Gibbs Yazz Walker Simpson Scotland Jamison Robinson Laidler Betts Gartlett Henderson Warnock Waite Carrazzo Hampson is not quite there yet when kruez and Warnock are available..... Thats 17 who have 2 hands on their position when fit....Russell has lost his spot to Duigan btw. The last 5 spots are wide open... So what are your lists?? |

I'd swap Gartlett for Garlett. |

Warnock is not a walk up start any more |

Warnock's first use theory is a myth. He taps it straight down most of the time. Sure, he might have control of the tap, but either whoever had control of our stoppage strategies at the time had NFI and made it look like he had NFI, or he had NFI. |

IMO he would walk in ahead of hammer. Tricky one, Hammer has more presence up forward and can take a pack mark, or more likely, drop it for the speedsters to crumb. Not sure playing all of Kreuzer, Hampson and Warnock in the same side will ever be a long term practice so I'd be picking Hampson at the moment, until he gets injured. |

Judd Murphy Kruezer Gibbs Yazz Walker Simpson Scotland Jamison Robinson Laidler Betts Gartlett Henderson Warnock ???????????????? Waite Carrazzo Reckon you've nailed it for the top 16. Warnock / Hampson battle will ensue. Tuohy will be added to that top grouping soon enough and Russell should have been there, health allowing. Lucas and Mitchell will be the ones to press hard leading into next year. Whichever way that's a pretty solid foundation we have. |

Judd Murphy Kreuzer Gibbs Yazz Walker Simpson Scotland Jamison Robinson Laidler Betts Garlett Henderson Waite Carrazzo One of Warnock/Hampson depending on form/fitness. If hammer can start to play like he did against Richmond more often and take a few marks and average 2 goals a game then he gets the nod over Warnock. That makes 17, leaving only 5 places in our best 22 for fringe players, to be picked from: Duigan Lucas Tuohy Thornton Bower Armfield Curnow Mclean Russell Joseph Ellard Collins I think Duigan and Lucas are pretty close to walk up starts and should be by the end of the season. Man we have some serious depth with everyone fit. |

I think Thornton and Tuohy deserve to be recognized as walk up starts now and I don't think Curnow is far from joining them. For me, if they are all fit, Armfiled, Duigan Russell and Bower are fighting for the last two spots. Warnock for mine is just a better footballer than Hampson. I think the rest, probably lead by Lucas, are injury cover. |
