The AFL were serious that Walker's 2011 mark wasn't MOY. I don't see any other mark used as much in the promotion of the AFL game. That's becuase here was no other mark better. There is no other goal better. Indelible. |

Smith's is a great goal, particularly from a first gamer. But Yazz's surely takes the biscuit as a highlight. |

Nah, fair play. Smith's was a great goal, and deserved winner. Misses out on two free kicks, outbodies a much bigger and older player in Glass and dribbles it home. Composure. I still maintain the Tuohy bomb down the middle, Simpson's gut running to Armfield converting was better for sheer simplicity. |

It wasn't as good as the goals Yarran, Naitanui, Franklin and Ablett (both of them) kicked. I guess Smith gets points for getting caught and going to ground before kicking it off the ground... |

So they're rewarding second efforts now? Pavlich's soccer goal was number one too... http://www.afl.com.au/Video/tabid/76/co ... fault.aspx ![]() |

Yazz torched the greatest midfielder to ever play the game though |

Not sure who decides all this. If you've ever played footy.......Smith's was all luck in the end and Yarran's was pure class. |

I think that may have been a club goal of the week video guys; it's certainly not the fan voted goal of the week, as voting is still open. Both goals were well struck by players who could have easily slung a tired boot onto it for a forgettable effort. |

Would you go back for repeat viewings of Smith's goal? Quite silly when you think about it. |

IMO Smith's goal should've been holding the ball against him. He picked the ball up, took 3 steps and tried to shrug glass but was caught. |

Wha? Smith was being held from behind by the jumper by Glass, evades him, gathers the ball, gets a push in the back, steadies, and dribbles it through. First year player, gets scragged by (statistically) last season's best full back in the competition, has the composure to outbody him and still kick the goal is fantastic. |
