Some people aren't happy when we publically set our expectations lower, so they are not going to win either way.

Reality is if any of the top 5 from last year aren't internally aiming for a flag this year then they shouldn't bother.

Judd is an astute guy. Its interesting to hear how far the club has come from the players point of view. I think they realise they have grown to the point were they are a genuine threat.
Physicaly I think they know they are ready but adding some external pressure they need to know who is capable of taking the implied pressure.

Guess what? We will make top 4 because football is played on the field 22 vs 22, and our 22 on any weekend is very very capable of winning the Premiership this year. We bat deeper than Johnny Holmes thanks to our consistent injury list over the past few years.

It's funny isn't it? I mean, the ones that do it for a rise you get used to (to a point) but prompting negativity then getting all righteous when it comes seems strange to me.

Hawthorn, Collingwood, Geelong start every preseason talking it up and stating how hungry they are (the past several years anyway)
