Tanking so we can get a priority pick for not winning a game in the Nab cup.

The commentary from Shane MaGuiness was worse than our performance.

Having said that ....... we haven't looked anywhere near as sharp as any of our opponents so far.

Is this part of our cunning plan?

not to score a point after half time is shameful.
call it what you want, sugar coat it, that was very average.
if we lose to north, will the boys be feeling good about round one?
yeah we had a few boys out, but can we just turn it on over night?
why did so many players not play?
injuries? yeah, but they can happen at training.
2 weeks before the season starts, and have not one a game.
lucas is a round one starter, as is curnow.
lets hope we can produce some form against north.

Speak for yourself, thought it was good myself. The footage wasn't great but they did the best they could and the audio and commentary was great i thought.

Not only did we have 12, maybe 13, of our best 22 out, but we had the likes of Judd, Walker, Waite and Duigan playing their FIRST game of the year. I suspect our fitness guys would have given them reduced game time, too, as part of the usual "easing in" process.

I will not draw any judgments on our pre-season until after the Norf game, a game that promises to be decent dress rehearsal for Rd 1.

I will try to attend to see for myself... really torn between being nervous and just "forgetting about it"...

Just as I suspected, doof, but I hope Tex is OK though. :yikes:

This pre-season takes me back to the glory days of the late 70's and early 80's when were praccy match spuds but September heroes. Hey, I think we're getting our mojo back! :smoking:

Ok Boys and Girls, time to take a deep breath and remember its the 10th of March. I really want to be playing in six months, could not care less about now. And as you all know pre-season success is a sure fire sign of premiership season success.

I am sure you can all remember those halcyon days under Pagan when we won the pre-season thinggy and collapsed in the proper stuff.

Worrying about pre-season form is for the also rans and those without prospects

There was some good stuff from some of our kids - Casbolt surprised, and Bootsma looked like he will be a player one day. I am sure they will be very disappointed about losing and not scoring after half time, and I agree they looked like a rabble in the second half, but we have got game time into the kids, and as BC noted, a number of senior players out and some playing their first game for the year.

Time for a chill pill.

Pretty sure the stream they put up was below 240p, or what is now referred to as low-definition TV. A well worn-in VHS would have given it a run for its money. Given the equipment they had, that's unacceptable.
