Worst thing about this is the non-telecast. Best thing about this is the non-telecast. |

Wouldn't mind a loss here. Another kick up the arse, and a psuedo-reality check courtesy of the media would be a great help getting a worrying feeling re Richmond game out of my head. |

Tblues, assuming jamo and henderson are both playing Thornton is easily the best replacement for Laidler. Thornton goes pretty well as long as he doesnt have to play on a KPP. Reads the play well and chops it off to provide help for the other 2. Just have to tell him be bold with the ball and not kick sideways. Also with Waite, Hampson, and walker up forward I don't see room for him there, although I do think he played better as a forward last season then a defender |

Also with Waite, Hampson, and walker up forward I don't see room for him there, although I do think he played better as a forward last season then a defender Thornton will be a better key forward than Hampson. The EF showed that. He's alot better contested mark. Don't think that can be questioned. Given the styles of Waite and Walker, both with the pace and ability to excel in the midfield as well as marking forwards, it compliments Thornton and a resting ruckman really well. We're really lucky there. Hampson's about to have a big breakout season as a ruckman, don't want him stifled as a key forward. It'll hurt his confidence. Like most ruckman you'll find he's won't be that good at it as time goes. Let him do what he does best. Give him plenty of time forward in the pre-season though for sure given he'll be there in some role for sure during games. Guessing Bower will play in Laidler's position for now. He better than many think. |
