Sunday 4th March @ Etihad.

Hopefully they put a little more effort in then they did in Adelaide.

Will be good to see a few of the kids get another run.

So unless hot weather strikes, this will be a squad of 22 with 2 players and 2 subs on the bench.

Hopefully will be a much better hitout with a proper game format.
The first round of the NAB cup is so contrived that it's impossible to glean any useful information from it.

It's good for the teams and coaches, but not for the fans.

They have a 32 man squad to pick from in the two games, which for most teams is just about anyone available that they'd want to play (as was the case with our team).

It's the flexibility of an intra-club, with a legitimate opposition to shake things up tactically.

It will be a squad of 29 with 4 to be changed over at half time.
No Walker, Robinson, Judd or Jamison this week, either.

Rowe to play.

Why all the talk of 2 men on the bench and 2 as subs then if we have effectively 6 subs?

Don't know the mechanics of it but the initial squad takes up 29 players and after that, I don't know.
McKay did mention that there will be a swap of 4 players ar half-time. That alone still doesn't pick up 29 players in total. ???

Oh you're talking about last week's comments. Sounds to me like a squad of 29 will be finalised to 22 prior to the match.

Think you'll find it'll be just that - initial squad and then trimmed down to 26 (think that was the go last year too, 29 and then reduced).

22 for the 1st half with the 4 allowed to come in after half-time as replacements.

The more the merrier to get a view on Foxtel before the QLD block out the next week.

Quote:
Rowe will be part of the 29-man squad involved in Sunday’s game, however Chris Judd, Nick Duigan, Mitch Robinson, Jarrad Waite and Andrew Walker will not be part of the squad with these five players due to commence 2012 action in the round 3 match against Brisbane in Maroochydore.

Post subject:  Re: P/S Rd 2: Bulldogs vs. Carlton (Pre-Match Discussion)

not liking the fact that so many key players are missing large chunks of the pre-season...

the pr machine talks up how soon everyone will be back...but hard to conclude that we won't be a bit behind the eight ball come rd 1.

couple of questions.

1. anyone have any info on what is wrong with walks and robbo (no mention of them on the injury list...but they both have missed the last three weeks)?

2. any update on jamieson's progress ?

3. any update on warnock's progress - it appears he may not be up and running for some time ...and we know what happens when you miss a pre-season ?
