what's the oval out at Maroochydore like?

Not a huge fan of the boys playing on suburban-ish grounds a couple of weeks out from rd1!

Will probably be hard as a rock

Decent... the Hawks trained out here for a week before Chrissy and were pretty happy with the surface. The Suns have also made appearances.

When I moved here I was quite surprised that they had 3 AFL fields in the same area let alone the same facility!

But tickets for AFL members is still open, I assume my carlton membership won't cut it? Could anyone help me out, looks like I need a AFL member barcode to purchase a ticket? HELP PLEASE! no way I will miss them being 2 minutes down the road!

Can't help with the AFL membership but if you haven't already, double check that there isn't any standing room or match day allocations.

Had any luck QLD_=Blue?

Can't help with tickets but you may be interested in this on the Friday:

Discover how sport and business can be a powerful economic ‘team’ and join the Chamber and the Sunshine Coast Sports Federation for this BIG lunch event. Prepare for the sell out NAB Cup match at Maroochydore between the Brisbane Lions and the Carlton Blues the day before the BIG game. Hear firsthand from Carlton Blues Senior Coach Brett Rattan [sic] and GM of Football Andrew McKay (past legend) how these clubs prepare during the off season and glean some insights to success that you can use in your own business. They will be joined by three senior Blues players who will go head to head with the Lions.

Date: Friday 9 March 2012
Time: 12pm – 2.30pm
Venue: Events Centre@Maroochy
