Retail giant Myer and the Carlton Football Club could be headed to court after it has been revealed its Captain and star player Chris Judd damaged his shoulder while reaching for a doona which had slipped off during the night. In a further blow to the Judd's, the doona in question is believed to have been given to Rebecca Judd as part of a gift package for her role as Spring Racing Ambassador for Myer.

The Blues are scathing after comments from Collingwood President Eddie McGuire further escalated tensions between the two clubs.

"We've been trying to blanket Judd for years to no avail. The use of a doona by Myer is pure genius!"

However it mightn't be all bad news for the Blues. "We'll try and get some mileage out of what is an unfortunate incident. We're currently in discussions with David Jones to be our official Bed Linen sponsors", club CEO Greg Swann stated.

In the meantime, Collingwood were also set to make a sponsorship announcement on the back of the Judd injury, however were not forthcoming as to the company nor length of the deal, other than to say it was with a Dutch Oven manufacturer.

..apparently it's a common problem in the judd household, it's exceedingly hard to get the doona to not slip off durin g the night due to the mattresses being unbalanced, what with all the millions stuffed under it..
