So then what's the go with Blake Bray? We don't have him on our permission to train list, which would mean he's not covered for insurance purposes?

He doesn't need a permission to train as he's contracted as a rookie. Why would you ask this Jim?

I know he wasn't rookied; but I was a tad surprised they didn't sign up Ahmed Saad.

Or wasn't he as good as he showed during the year?.......and is he too small?

I don't understand any part of this question. When were they meant to sign him up? And through what mechanism?

Thanks chucky.....I did think that too.....I wish him luck in 2012.

''ST KILDA has picked up two small forwards in a trade with Greater Western Sydney, confirmed this morning.
The Saints gave GWS pick No.20 for VFL player Ahmed Saad and SANFL player Terry Milera, while the Giants have handed back pick No.25 as part of the exchange.''

The above list are the rookies we've retained? Bray's not on the list.

Actually we could have invited him down to train last year and added him any time from after the rookie draft until the end of the pre-season competition. We didn't. Would have been a good addition to our rookie list, as it leaves us with options, particularly with Yarran now playing so well as a defender.

I think if there is one position on the ground we are covered for it is small crumbling forwards.

We'll probably make do without Saad. Just a hunch.
