Anyone else nervous that we have not managed to plug a hole in our fwd line yet? Waite is not the answer, he is unreliable even when not injured. Henderson went well down back. Which leaves, no one worth a big key fwd position |

Key Forwards don't grow on Trees. It's allright to claim our recruiting department failed but what would you do Mitchell Clarke is not a KPP and we would have had to give up a player Gumbleton for a low pick yes but with his injury record --- he is a speculative pick Fev in the Post Season Draft. Yes but realistically not an option Gunston ---- Is not a big bodied forward So who do you suggest. Maybe the right decision developing last years draftees with prospect of using a low pick on a Podsiadly type makes sense |

Read a quote by Ratts in the paper today, one of Bower or Setanta will be going, and they'd love to free up a spot on the list. You'd think that one spot will be for a key forward. |

You'd think that one spot will be for a key forward. That we'll draft from...? That's the million dollar question. While we didn't do anything over trade week, people will start to get nervous about our lack of a key forward, but freeing up a spot on the list shows us that a key forward is at the forefront of the coaching staff's ideas. Our best bet is to scour the state leagues and find the best possible player suitable for the role. Can't remember who it was on here, but someone caught up with Wayne Hughes at the Best & Fairest and asked if the state leagues were being looked at in respect to a key forward. Hughes couldn't reveal too much, but he didn't dismiss the idea...which is what he would have done if the idea/rumour was rubbish. It could pay handsomely, as we've seen with Podsiadly. The best part about it is we don't lose too much in the process, would come cheap, and it's a win-win - the state league player gets to play at an elite level, and we get our key forward. |

Ratten was seen attending some SANFL matches. We might get something out of there. |

When that was initially reported, people thought we were looking at Sam Rowe, but we may in fact have been looking at Ben Gazzola. 21 years old, big lump of a lad. Here's an article, which makes it sound as though he hadn't made the senior side at that point, but below a video that suggests he made it through late in the season. Just checked, it was a week after the article in fact. 1 game, 1 goal. |

IIRC it was Norwood vs Centrals where Ratts was spotted. But I think I read he was actually looking at the Centrals fwd line. Who knows. It's also been rumoured we may invite Callum Wilson (who will prob be delisted by WC) to train with us. |

And now, Setanta's delisting, a player who was often used as a key forward, re-affirms that the club are pretty confident of landing a KPF in the off-season. Would be interested in giving Gazolla go. |
