It's sportsnewsfirst. They're run by a few player managers that stir up crap every year to try and bump up their own players price. |

I heard from a cheer squad member who had spoken to a senior un named staff member that the club was not impressed with the commitment shown by JW regarding his injury and recovery. It was said that he didnt try hard enough to get back to playing senior footy in time for the finals. |

Turns 29 in February. Severely hampered by injury. I wouldn't wanna pay overs either for a player who just can't get on the park on a regular basis. Having said that - I think he'll stay. But it all depends on what someone is prepared to offer for him. If one or more teams are keen, and the trade looks good - then get it done. |

In 2013 will 50% of Waite's salary not be included in the salary cap due to him turning 30 before the season starts and him being at the club for more than 10 years? If so then surely we can "back end" his contract. |

There is now no sentiment in football - everyone loves Jarrad Waite - but it would be re-miss of our Football Department in these times if we could not find out if Waite could shake out one of GWS's first round draft picks. If so then our recruiters would have to way up (in this supposed thin draft) that the player we get for him is worth it. Its a calculated assessment draft a 10 year player - versus - Jarrad Waite an injury & suspension prone player capable of the spectacular who may be capable of a "Tom Hawkinsesque" performance in the last half of a Preliminary or Grand Final in the next 2 years or so. Interesting times in the next few weeks. |

That's it in a nutshell. Everything should be considered no matter who the personalities are otherwise the football department is not doing its job. That being said, I reckon it's just the usual contract argie-bargie and SOV will be here until he retires |

Love Jarrad and feel sick at the thought of trading him...but...wouldn't be completely against the idea. I'm more interested in picking up some good picks than players in trade week this year. Would love someone but Goddard but I'm worried that we might be narrowing our premiership windown if we dont keep injecting quality kids to our list. Don't want to end up like St Kilda who kept topping up there list with players rather than draft quality kids and in the end they didn't even get a Premiership. |

A lot of us are crying out for our lack of tall forward targets...trading Waite away will only set us back. |

getting a gws pick could help us get goddard chuck hammer FF and spend entire preseason and season up forward and by finals he could be a target and with gibbs murphys goddard and judd running around the mid field and walker garlett and betts streaming forward kicking goals and our new dynamite young backline we wud be contenders for sure |

Last week: Neil Craig to Carlton (goes to Melbourne) Yesterday: Goddard to Carlton (formally denied this morning by St Kilda) Today: Waite talks stall & is "hotly" pursued by other clubs... (Sh-right...) This website is the "Hutchy" of footy sites!! |

On one hand we can't complain about a lack of KP players then on the other hand want to trade Waite. To the intelligent person something there doesn't quite make sense when one tries to combine the two. Not alot of list managerial skills amongst some. Maybe we can go pluck one off a tree. |
