Goodes might sneak it from Juddy due to Judds poor last 2-3 weeks of the H & A games....

Rubbish. Goodes has played a cameo year at best this year. He's had a decent season, but not a good one by any stretch.

You really don't like him, do you?

I can appreciate he's a very good player. Extremely good, even. Worthy of a brownlow. Definitely not worthy of 2 though.

The guy chimes in and out of matches when he feels like it. Spends the rest of the time sooking at the umpires, and waggling his over-sized head.

By the standards of a champion player, which is what he can be when he plays for a whole match, he hasn't had the best season.

Judd has had a very good year, but his last couple of matches have been down a little. It's all perception, and those last few will stick in peoples' minds and taint their Brownlow view.

We've got the John Nicholls medal night to suit up for also. Pretty sure we cant get flowered out of winning that.

Humbug. Don't give a flower but anything else except the "premiership". Our season is over and things need to be addressed after 3 finals failures. No more near enough is good enough. We must do what-ever is needed to play in GF next year. Nothing less.

I'm sure I'll be happy if Juddy wins the umpires award, but right now I couldn't give a flower.

The umps giving Juddy the Brownlow would be like a rapist giving his victim flowers after the umps performance last night.

I hate to say it but Pendlebury might win.

Adam Goodes, for all he's worth, is not the same kind of player at Sydney as he would be at, say, Geelong, or Carlton. He shoulders the whole team and is asked to do too much, he also thinks it's his duty to do things like "waggling his over-sized head" and "sooking at the umpires" for the sake of the club. Ultimately wrong-headed it may be but it seems to be a Sydney thing, perhaps a side-effect born out of Rugby's lack of innate interest as a skillful spectacle.

Addendum to my previous about Goodes:

A few years back, it was rumoured that Goodes was going to be traded. I thought at the time he looked fed up at Sydney, and a new club and environment would do him the world of good, and would have been rapt to see him at Carlton.

I'd still take him in Navy Blue, but it would be a Waite/Setanta type role as a mobile ruck/marking target and utility than a mid.

He's just not as good as the press say he is.

The wheels started falling off Juddy's season the minute the media started proclaiming he had already won it with 6-7 rounds to go. All of a sudden there was this hue & cry about him being an umps favourite and then all of a sudden the holding at scrimmages goes unnoticed, he starts getting pinged for holding & throwing and he starts getting scragged out of contests.

I'd be interested to see a graph of his frees for/against over the course of the season (not that I could be arsed making one). There would be some pretty interesting changes from around the North game on I reckon.

Not that it's the sole reason for his form dropping off but I reckon it's one of them.

Why did you include .5 increments when they add to the dramatics but only cloud the significance?

it was unintentional - the graph did it itself - it was a 10 minute job i didnt pay attention to formatting
