Quote:
Carlton players Chris Judd, Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson are in the running to take out the AFLPA’s prestigious Most Valuable Player award.

Nominated by their peers, the highly anticipated award recognises qualities such as versatility, ability to play under pressure, skill, leadership, courage, respect for all players and overall value to a team.

Kade Simpson has been further recognised for his selflessness and fearless approach, with a nomination for the Robert Rose Most Courageous Player award.

Carlton’s mature age recruit, Nick Duigan has also been nominated for the league’s Best First Year Player award.

In addition to being nominated for the prestigious MVP Award, Chris Judd is up for The Best Captain, an award which recognises team captains for their strong leadership qualities.

The winners will be announced on Monday 12th September at a ceremony at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium

Surely a non-Bomber cannot win Most Courageous :screwy:

when they say nominated by peers, does that mean carlton players only or all afl players?

and while simmo has had a very good year i also think scotland has been a bit better though i agree with his nomination in the most courageous award

pretty sure the club nominates the three. Not sure if the playing list or MC do it.
