Did anyone else hear Gerald on 3aw say that an announcement of a new fitness 'director' from Melbourne will be made in the next couple of days or was hearing things.

Could you be any more vague???

How is it relevant to Carlton?

Actually, what Healy said was that the current director of fitness at Melbourne is going to Carlton, to be announced in the next couple of days.

What we don't know is who, if anyone, he replaces at Carlton.

Could be working under Cordy, alongside Cordy, or in place of Cordy.

I could think of a worse club to model our fitness on.

No actually, I can't. :? :?

Maybe they were so impressed with Brock's conditioning when he came over, that they just couldn't wait to get their hands on the guy responsible?

Are we going to announce before he signs that we are paying him $1,000,000/year; then try and renegotiate it later on?

Dees make football department changes
Quote:
Hocking tendered his resignation after three years with Melbourne.

He has accepted another opportunity within the AFL industry.

Connolly said: “Joel has taken our strength and conditioning standards to another level over the last three years. We thank him for his service, and wish him all the best for his next role.”

BTW, I once applied for a position as gym instructor, but was told that I wasn't fit for the job.

How the CFC site currently lists our fitness staff:

Quote:
High Perfomance Manager Justin Cordy
Assistant Conditioning Coach Noel McCarthy
Rehabilitation Coach Mark Homewood
Physiology Assistant David Rossiani
Fitness Assistant Matt Hunter
Director of Sports Science Research Aaron Coutts
Weights Coach Stuart Livingston
Head Trainer Ray Spiteri

No "fitness director" there. So I wonder where this bloke fits into the scheme of things.

But again, good of the club to notify us of our new appointment :donk:

In any case, welcome to Carlton Joel
