I have it from a very, very good source from inside the club: 1) Jordan Russell isn't playing because the club found out he took an interview with GWS. 2) Paul Bower's manager is talking with both WCE and Fremantle about a return to WA next season. His contract expires this year and will not be a Blue next season. I just hope we dont get another Andrew Collins. 3) Jarred Waite most likely wont play again this year. He is struggling to move laterally post the operation. This is as good as gold. I just hope Bower can be convinced to stay. Not sure what they will do with Russell. |

Grain of salt, however.....if JR isn’t getting a game simply for talking to GWS (without committing to them), I find that absurd. |

Thanks for the info shake and bake whether its true or not. The Russell/GWS thing has certainly grown legs. Fair enough if your mind isnt 100% on Carlton then don't play I suppose. Bower, I think he is surplus to requirements and if you look at those who can take the position he held last year, Henderson has surpassed him, Laidler, Duigan too. Davies has shown he can make it, Watson should prosper and you still have McCarthy and McInnes developing. I left out Austin and White. White maybe, but Austin looks gone doesn't he? I'm interested in the likes of players who have been in the system over 12 months in Casboult, Kerr and O'Keefe |

If we lose P Bower...heads need to roll. two high draft picks - S Grigg and P Bower...who have been mismanaged...and forced out.... plenty of reasons, excuses...but not good enough as far as the club is concerned. not sure where the fingers need to be pointed....recruiting, player development, match committee.... but these small things cost you premierships ! |

Bower for JK - straight swap. OK, throw in Scott Selwood as a sweetener. |

Heard the same as you shake and bake: and a couple more 4) Judd was looking fwd to a week off more than his first child. (well sort of). He's sore, and he's worried bout the foot injury. 5) Fev has not had one single call from any club yet and his ego is reeling. One of his mates also said Fev said he wont accept a rookie spot coz his ego wont cop it. so he's got -100% chance now. 6) Judd doesnt want him there, even more than Ratts. & just for some real juice Bec Judd cannot stand Alex Fevola. Bowers value as trade bait is pretty low IMO. any club will see that. freo if anyone, will take him coz they need ANYONE right now, and they seem to really like the injury prone. |

Casboult is KPP right? He might be retained for another year due to the "big bastards take longer" rule. |

Hmmm... 1, 2 and 3 are all quite disappointing. Most disappointed by Bower though. I really want him to stay - it's a bit like the Walker situation, ie his trade value is almost non existent, but I think he has a lot of upside if he can get his body right. He has shown he could be a really good player, I would hate to lose him. We haven't had much good news lately - our three most important players (Judd, Jamo and Waite) all have injury clouds going into finals. One of them won't be playing at all. |
