It's Bigfooty. If there wasn't BS, there would be nothing to say.

Love Jeff and the way he goes about it. Great to have him commit to the club

Hope he can recapture his early '11 form for finals and keep working on ironing out his flaws (specifically, calming the @#$%&! down) during preseason.

Great signing.

He was our best shot for goal bar none.
Not sure why he has the yips now, but he and Gibbs need to get it fixed before finals.

Love his flair. Just needs to do the basics right and the fancy stuff is just brilliant icing on the cake.

Hopefully continues the family tradition with a Coleman Medal in the next three years.

Garlett re-signs

The Age

Quote:
Garlett, a first cousin of Hawthorn star Lance Franklin, said he was relieved to know his future at Carlton was secure.

You must wonder given where he has come from, that he would have been quite fearful of not been re-signed by the club.

?Western Australia.

He is in the top 10 for the Coleman. there was little risk that Carlton wouldn't re-sign him. if they were that stupid, 16 other clubs would have pounced.

In a way, I know what you mean. Sometimes people who've done things the hard way, and perhaps have been in real danger of falling off the edge, don't have the confidence to take these kinds of things for granted.

Some of the best people I know in the industry I'm in, are good because they're convinced that any day now, they'll get tapped on the shoulder by someone who calls them out for the 'frauds' they are. They think this way because they haven't had an easy road, and thus work harder than anyone to stay near the top.

Insecurity isn't necessarily either logical, or a bad thing. Complacency is.

I was referring to the fact that he would sleep in cars and lived on one meal a day and didn't know when he would see his next meal.

Wasn't it one meal a week? Thursday night feed after training if I recall correctly.

Ah yeah, I'll think about that later.
