![]() http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/b ... 6114984574 Quote: In a nutshell, if the Saints beat North next week, they should keep sixth position, meaning Essendon* will finish eighth and face the Blues - at the MCG - and the Saints play Sydney at Etihad. If the Kangas beat St Kilda next week, and St Kilda loses to Carlton in Round 24, the Blues will play North Melbourne in the first final _ at the MCG _ and the Saints slip out. That means the Swans would finish sixth, meaning they will host a final, most likely at this stage against Essendon* if the Dons beat Port Adelaide next weekend. If the Swans had lost yesterday and ended up eighth, Etihad would have been the likely venue for their first-week final against the Blues. Quote: club chief executives were told three weeks ago by the AFL that if Melbourne hosted three of the four finals, they would all be played at the MCG. ![]() |

Its all a bit complicated. Swans winning yesterday certainly threw a spanner in the works. Fingers crossed we play at the MCG, dont know about the part of the article that says the MCG is not our home ground, we play quite a few of our home games there. |

Great news for AFL/Club Members who sit in the Southern Stand. Etihad on Friday was a joke. Standing room was 6 people deep. They would have ALL been seated (plus more) at the MCG. |

I wish people would stop talking about games we haven't played yet as it makes me very nervous. ![]() |

Couldn't agree more. Etihad Friday night was a joke in standing room. I was 4 deep and was constantly on my tippy toes trying to see the action. The locker room after half time was were i was located. |

OK ... I have had another look at the last 2 rounds ... call me an optimist but : At home I reckon Brisbane will beat WC. Brisbane did ok against Collingwood and this is going to be an upset. So that leaves WC vs Adelaide in the last round. Its entirely possible Adelaide could win ... they are playing much better since the change of coach. Of course ... Carlton would have to make sure it beat the Saints ... Alright ... I am just dreaming ... I can't help myself ... better get back to my old 'negative' or should I say 'realistic' self. |

Add in injury clouds over Darling and Kerr, who might not make the trip. This game is not a gimmie for the Egirls. They haven't beaten Brisbane for the past 5 years. Egirls record against the Crows is better, having won 2 of their last 5 games. The Crows seem to have hit a bit of form, not without a chance. A draw would do us just fine (assuming we beat the Aints). |

There is talk of priority picks being re-examined in the off season, but it hasn't happened yet, and won't impact this years' draft even if it does happen. |

Assuming Essendon* win by 100+ against Port, Sydney need to win by more against Brisbane than they lose by against Geelong, for us to play at the G. |

If the Kangas roll St Kilda this week, we'll be playing them @ the G which would be sensational! Doesn't matter what order the swans or Essendon* finish in, they'll either play it @ the dome or in Sydney! So really, we'll either be playing Essendon* or north both @ the G! ![]() |

Shouldn't overlook the possibility that Essendon* could overtake Shitney |
