I think we can win 6 of the 8 games on the run home.

But what a difference a year makes, assuming the same draw last year I would have only put us down for one certainty against the Dee's and the chance to sneak in for one or two more.

Run home:

16: Dogs
17: Pies
18: Bombers
19: Kangas
20: Dees
21: Freo (away)
22: Hawks
23: bye
24: Saints

If we get 6 wins we would end up 16 5 1, should be good enough for 3rd and a possible match up against the Pies.

I would be happy to lose against the Pies and have a shot at the Cats to win through to the big one.

A touch up of Collingwood in the granny would be just what the doctor ordered.

So long as we humiliate the media darlings that are the Bulldogs and Roos.

I'd rather our run than theirs - at least we will have had a good look at some likely finalists and probably be in some situations where we may have to dig deep to get ourselves out of trouble."

No reason why we can't win them all. No team should worry us, if we are ready on the day including the Pies. We can match them. They have now lost Dawes, so that puts us even going into the next clash.

Hawthorn are undermanned and if we cannot beat them then we don't deserve top4!
Lets just make sure we beat doggies this week and then go for gold!!!

There definitely are a few danger games in our run.

For some reason the Kanga's have had the wood on us for a number of years, and if the Saints are still in contention by Round 24 that won't be a walk in the park either.

Also the game against the Hawks is coming back from a road trip to Perth with a six day gap.

It certainly is a good challenge for us, as I said if this was last year it would be time to put the queue in the rack but the Blues of 2011 are up for a challenge!

CB

CB, Agree every game is a danger game because as we know footy is played above the shoulders just as much below. But this team has the tools.

Apparently KB thinks we'll only win one more for the year

Would never happen to Collingwood.

For me we must flog the Dogs, Roos, Dees and of course the bravest of the brave Bombers.

I had the pleasure of attending the Richmond President's function on Saturday and KB certainly wasn't dancing for joy or throwing his arms in the air like he used to when he came back into the function after the game

Also had the opportunity of meeting Wayne Campbell b4 the game to hear him speak about match-up's - very informative and honest comments about the pre-game plans - had to hide my smirk when he said Grigg to Judd.... almost laughed out aloud.

An enjoyable day was had by all...... ok, well maybe not all in that room

See us winning 4 more games, finishing 5th, and playing the Scum in the Elimination final...

That's a bit pessimistic Dommo. At the very least we should win 5 and 6 wins should be very achievable..

16: Dogs. The fast paced, nice kicking footy they played Friday night was impressive because Melb were soft as butter and applied ZERO pressure on the guy with the ball or the guy likely to receive. 75% chance of winning.
17: Pies. Tough ask, but possible. Whatever the result we learn more than they do and we are a big possibility to play them two more times after this game. 40% chance of winning
18: Bombers. If Monfries and reimers play this should be a 10 goal result. They have one ruckman, one on-baller and no press. 80% chance of winning
19: Kangas. This is my danger game. They've really come along after being shizen. But they haven't played a good team for a while. Lets be kind and say 50/50.
20: Dees. Nuff said. I don't care how pumped they are, they may be better than the Tiges, so a 40+ point win here. 85% chance of winning.
21: Freo (away). A shadow of the team that beat us (just) at Subi last round of last year and we have improved out of sight. This game is a lock!!!!!! 80% chance.
22: Hawks. Only look good if you let them, no press, no backline, no chance. 65% chance of winning.
23: bye. Tougher than playing the Dee's.
24: Saints. I'll give this a 50/50 just because its the last game of the year and we are comming off a break. BUT this could be a walkover if they are not in finals contention and are playing kids.

There are no guarentees in life, but 5 or 6 wins should be the least amount of wins. IF we can keep most of our cattle on the park.

When you compare our run home to that of hawthorns and WCE it is defenitely tougher

If we finish in the top 4 we would have earnt it as every team we play is either in the 8 or fighting for 8th spot where WCE and Hawthorn both have 3 games against sides whose season is already over and are looking at next year

we will need all the cards stacked in our favour to pull it off

Pretty simple formula.

Play with high intensity and we should win all but Collingwood and maybe Hawks.

Play like we did against the Eagles and we won't win a game.

If we finish top 4 we deserve it, tough run home.

A huge thing for us is the week's rest we get prior to the last round.. Perfect timing for the players to rest any little niggles and prime themselves for one last burst...

I'm with you SurreyBlue.

One week at a time with amped up intensity, I can't see why we couldn't.
