Robinson Twittering about how positive yesterday was....

Surely those of us in the stands realised that "BAD KICKING IS BAD FOOTBALL" but that other MOB were MILES ahead of us when it counted.
At one stage it was 11 or 12 scoring shots to 2.

and the effort in the first half was hardly anything to get even the slightest bit excited about.

We were missing x and they were missing y

BUT to TWITTER - How good we were today.... I think some have got ahead of themselves...perhaps a double page spread was premature

Carrazzo as well...

This positive reinforcement crap being fed to the players is nauseating, especially after a loss to the filth.

Disagree.
We did play well bar misses at goal.
Enormous pressure out there.

The only people getting ahead of themselves are C.Wood.
I don't like Patrick Smith..but that word 'hubris' really fits them.
The coach.
Why would you get so outraged and storm out of the coache's box at hlaf time, unless you were completely offended that such an inferior team as Carlton could possibly still be in the game?
if it was the other way around..Ratts would have expected it to be about even..because he repects opposition teams.
Micks attititude shows what contempt he holds for most opposition.
I suspect he wouldn't have been quite so outraged if it had been the Cats.

Re Mitch......good on him!
They should feel good and confident.
Holding up the team with some key personnel out is a massive effort.

Perhaps Robbo should have tweeted "they totally outclassed us, bring on 2012!"

I sometimes wonder if our club or players will ever do anything that doesn't deserve criticism

True BG. I felt his reaction to that 2nd quarter mini comeback and the fact he had to move Neon to the forward line showed that, for probably only a couple of times this year, the grey moustachioed hypocrite felt the game was getting away from him. And didn't he handle it well?, he's a fair dinkum squeezer and I hope we never think of hiring this creep as coach.

I believe the 'Pies are a fragile bunch mentally and it stems from the coach who, IMO, has a severe personality disorder.

They are clearly, clearly the best side in the comp, but i still think the Saints had them in that first GF and i believe their dominance this year is the competition going backwards at a rate of knots, not so much their own improvement.

Perhaps Robbo should have tweeted "devastated with the loss, need to lift our game". I don't blame him though, it's what was fed to him by the coaching staff.

Why the @#$%&! are we happy with a loss to the filth? :garthp:

I remember McChin saying a while back that a big motivating factor for him becoming president of Filthwood was an occasion which he entered the pois' rooms after a loss to Carlton and being disgusted with the jovial atmosphere.

That's what we've lost in this past decade...

A lot of positives to take out of the game and def some improvement areas! Heading in the right track for sure.

I can't find anything wrong with that.

He should have said "heading in the right direction" or "on the right track". Three years in the system, he shouldn't be mixing his cliches!

That's how I feel, said as much in the post match thread.

Very happy to read this quote.

A few short weeks ago; we had Robinson and Sheahan declaring that we ''are the real deal'' and a threat to C/wood........we were winning, and injury free.

I hated those statements so early in the battle.....so premature; and I hoped at the time that the players weren't reading and hearing this crap.

Now.....we're still there but struggling just a tad against determined opposition.....I'm still hopeful but not over confident.

Unfortunately we went into the game with a mentality to "minimise the loss". This is what the players are now saying ... we did what we where asked to do and did it well. As I've said after the game, not the players fault this week
Pretty obvious what we did.

Problem with a loss is you never really know how much the opposition has left
in reserve. It may have only been 19pts, but who's to say that they wouldn't
have lifted further had we played better.

Talk about postives as much as you like - I like the idea of winning.

Q3 was a great example of this BigKev. Every time we pushed, they responded. We never hit the front even though the midfield and forward line finally hit the front; instead, they could break clear with the 'more open' game on the counterattack. We got close but they're still a level ahead.
