Get the balance right and we will win.

B: Touhy Austin Laidler
HB: Yarran Bower Duigan
C: Simpson Curnow Gibbs
HF: Robinson Thornton Walker
F: Garlett Henderson Kruezer
Foll: Warnock Judd Murphy
Int: Scotland Ellard Russell (Betts)

Jamison, Waite, Hampson, Lucas, Carrazzo all additions to best 22 when fit.

We've now lost 3 of 4. Not good enough.

If we are to make anything of this season, this game is a must win imho.

Being against this mob raises the stakes even more.

Not convinced we have enough tall stocks to cope, or the balls to cope with the big occasions ..
Bummers by 23 points...

This team actually looks pretty good given our available stocks, I worry about Austin and bower taking the top 2 talks in defence but given our ability to win the midfield and our apparent game plan of bombing it long to whomever is in the forward line we really need two talks plus a resting ruck sitting up there. If the midfield do their job this backline will be enough, if they don't then we are stuffed anyway, we have to concentrate on winning games and not just defence.

It is also time to give Austin a decent chance to see what he can do.

We're Clubber Lang to their Rocky Balboa. We're superior in every way except one...

As is my custom for this fixture I'll be making sure I have alternative activities planned gameday. My bosom swells with so much pride at their courage when playing us that Nigella Lawson is envious of me, and you can only take so much.

Hopefully JR and Carazzo are right to play.

A few comments in other threads about our kicking out from a point. Heard on Scum commentary last night that they are ranked 1 in the AFL for scoring from a kick out. Plenty of work to do on both fronts.

I will be the difference this week. I've been to 7 games this year. Seven. And my return?

1 win, 1 draw, 5 losses.

So flower it. Im going to do my bit and stay home

B: Touhy Henderson Laidler
HB: Yarran Bower Duigan
C: Simpson Curnow Gibbs
HF: Robinson Thornton Walker
F: Garlett Austin/White Betts
Foll: Warnock Judd Murphy

Int: Scotland Twomey Kreuzer

Sub: Lucas

In: Lucas Tuohy Austin/White
Out: Ellard Joseph (hamstring) Watson

Henderson or Austin on Hurley if he starts forward.

Gumbleton kicked one goal four in his VFL return today, but it would be hard to see him pushing up this soon.

Hearsay says that Hooker left the ground after a knokc, so he would be another unlikey starter.

Will Jobe be back this week?

Regardless if we go at it as committed as we did today we should win.

Be nice if we could get Setanta, Russell and Carrots back into the team next week.

So hopeful in's next week - Setants, Russell, Carrots, Tuohy
Outs - Watson, AJ, Warnock, Twomey

Twomey wasn't bad, but I wouldn't drop Ellard. I think AJ's days on our list are numbered, Watson isn't ready, we would play better with one specialist ruckmen.

We finally face a side that has as much of a mediocre forward line as we do :banghead:
