this is day we stamp some authority on the football world, this is our big chance, our biggest game in our carreers , it's today, it's now, not next week and not the week after, Today we must compete, we must challenge, we must run with and without the ball like we've never done, there will be no easy ball for collingwood, we will harrass and harrass at every contest. we will not hesitate on the ground nor in the air, if you can take a mark take the god dam mark, dont get outbodied, dont get pushed aside you be the aggressor and you get the ball cos i can tell you one thing, if we have the ball they dont and if they dont have the ball they cant score. when cornered in their press get the ball to the kickers, laidler, watson or if our runners yazz and bower are in space give it to them and give it to them fast and clean and more often than not we'll make em look weak and confused, hendo and walks ar our marking forwards, rucks will rotate, eddie and garts, worth together, you know where the balls coming, get to the contest every time, if we cant take the mark walks and hendo push it to our advantage, eddie and garts will be around, we can break them this way, just do not over handball in defence or we'll be stuck there all day

you alll no the drill, you have 100mins to play and play hard and when you walk in these rooms after the game we'll be the winners.

It could have worked but our setups where all wrong. We lost a game because of selections and matchup's, this had nothing to do with the players.

There may have been some questionable selections but I'd say today's loss came down to our skill errors and a lack of involvement from some key personell.

........and we can't kick out from full back for some unknown reason where Leon Davis has kicked out around 70 times this year for 100% effectiveness!!! Can you fckn believe that?

Hey cimm, our kick-outs issues started against WC and now have escalated.
Teams have worked us out and we have not counter punched since. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds from now on.

The other thing that really was evident today was the luck of the ball. Every quick kick, every miss kick and every bounce seemed to go Collingwood's way. I couldn't believe it but someone wasn't smiling on us today. The 2 freaky goals they got in the 3rd from absolute nothing was the iceing today and unfortunately there was nothing we could do with that.

True, I noticed the quick kick luck. I started screaming at the TV for the guys to get in front just for that reason. Next time it happend it went over their head and into the arms of the Pies player. !JESUS!!

Jeffy's posters sh1t me right off. Mind you if he'd bent over for one of them he could have eliminated all doubt, but he kicked it out of mid air.

Anyway some really good signs, but not nearly enough polish and a few guy's leaving it to the stars to get them home.

Yarran's non-effort in the first 5 minutes (i don't expect him to pole axe a guy of Clokes size but FFS he could have at least put an arm out to touch the ball) was symptomatic of a few guy's attitude to body contact.

You should have been there, it was so frustrating to watch. We couldn't take trick and some of the off the ball holding on / shepherding is just plain wrong. Opposition sides do it so effectively against us.

I think we are too nice. Sidebottom and Pendlebury etc in our guy's faces all day when we make a mistake. Pendles misses a goal at a crucial stage (after getting smashed by the wafer thin Warnock) in the last quarter and he and Murf share a joke. Someone should have told him exactly how sh1te he is.

The WCE bashed us up, The Dogs bashed us up , we didn't get bashed up today, but we sure as hell didn't show a hell of a lot of physical presence.

Argh, let's just hope we can stay top 4 (unlikely) and not have to play the Eagles at Subi in the finals.

I'm hopeful about Twomey and I hope guys like Cachia can step up because if we can't show we are as hard as the teams we play, I reckon we will get bundled out pretty quick. It's also why I think Setanta is an absolute must next time we play a side like the Pies, WCE etc, our forwards today were about as timid as it's possible to be.

There it is. Your a clever man Cimm. This is what we have done to our season now, if we win the 1st final that is.
