Had a terrific experience today.
Bumped into Ang (and Kouta) and suggested it was a big day tomorrow for the famous number 39. He went onto share that he had just been at the club presenting THE 'jumper' to Wade.

"couldn't believe he was 25"
"terrific bloke"
"will play between HB and HF and plenty around the middle"

both he and Kouta went onto introduce themselves "hi, i am Angelo" "hi, i am Anthony".....(polite young men i figured).....before, i insisted that naturally i knew who they were!

Wade T will explode onto the scene tomorrow!....as the blues record a famous victory!

I has a similar nice moment this morning. (Not as good as running into a couple of Carlton greats though!)

I went down to the local post office to check the mail, and as it was a chilli 19 degrees on the sunny coast this morning I was wearing my CFC hoody... and the post office I ran into another blues fan and we hung around chatting for a good 5-10 minutes talking about the mighty blues and our recent lost to the dogs.

Its something I miss about living in Tassie and Vic, the common ground of AFL!

I always thought Ang was short for Evangelis, not Angelo.

I sat in front of him for Kouta's farwell game or was it a milestone? The one against Collingwood anyway. At the time he said it was the first time he had been to a game in years, didn't really care about footy at all.

My next door neighbour is a Carlton freak, his lad has flown over tonight for the game tomorrow.

2 doors down is a feral @#$%&! Collingwood bastard....we gang up on him and give him shit

Around the corner is a Western Bulldogs supporter....for some weird reason I've seen him a lot this week :sly:

My other neighbour is a Crows supporter. He's not talking footy......

Gotta Love It !

Remember having a beer at the Great Northern and watching Ian Collins counselling Ang just after the club cut him. It was a sad sight. Back then I didn't really know the players (wasn't quite a footy fan back then), but I knew what disappointment looked like.

Check out the club website. CFC TV has footage of the jumper presentation, Ang loves to talk.

Now this is a troll

How anyone thinks that Ang is short for anything else than Angelo is beyond me.

Angelo is the Italian version of the name, and how it generally translates to English - Evangelos is the Greek version of the name, Ange is Greek so it is Evangelos.

I think we can safely assume the man knows his own name.
