Saturday 16th of July
2:10pm
MCG

This could be the game we need. Everyone will write us off after our woeful performance against the Dogs. Backs against the wall us against them mentality and we might be in with a shot.

Hopefully Waite can recover from his groin tightness. Curnow needs another run for the Bullants.

Ins:

Carrazzo
Armfield

Out:

Houlihan
Joesph

Simple, play Bower and we lose.

Are we all hoping St Kilda win?

I am feeling much more comfortable with my decision not to fly to Melb with the kids and watch this game. Thats a few grand I can use elsewhere.

If Doc's appraisal is correct and Scotland, Judd and Russell could have missed today for niggles all I can say is thank god they didn't, we would have lost by 70 points.

If there is ever a game the Carlton footy club ever needs to win, its this week. This is the time to stand up and deliver and make a statement, otherwise we are nothing but pretenders and you wanna talk about respect, we have none after today.

No point dwelling on "it was only 10 minutes in the 2nd qrt where Collingwood kicked 4 in a row, otherwise it was pretty even for the other 90 minutes". That is the softest cop out I've ever heard. We lost, it only took Collingwood 10 minutes to beat us and then cruise in 2nd gear.

Looks like I'm taking your spot.

Sitting with my filth-supporting brother.

God help me.

so much for being a sellout.
Both sides respective results today will see plenty of empty seats next week.
I too panicked last week and purchased a prebooked ticket. Will be able to walk up and get a seat easily me thinks

Not really, Collingwood supporters would pay anything to see them smash us by 10 goals when we think we are playing OK....

Apply pressure.

As much as you can for as long as you can.

I just heard Ratten say that Ohalipin will play football next week. With the Bullants having the bye this is code for Ohalipin to come straight back into the senior lineup.

Right now, we have the following players available for senior selection, with the rest either being unable to be elevated, unfit, injured or having been rested from the VFL this weekend:

Lucas
Davies
Watson
Kerr
Armfield
Carrazzo (unsure on this)
Tuohy
Austin

Sorry I stand corrected, a rookie could be elevated for McInnes, but based on my own viewing and match reports the only eligible candidate would be Mitch Carter. From that list, I'm going with:

Out: Waite (inj), Ellard, Joseph, Russell (inj)
In: Austin, Armfield, Carrazzo, Tuohy

Carrazzo had a calf niggle, so if he's not right then bring in Lucas.

Hmm, I don't have high hopes for this, but yes anything less than a win in my mind shows we are just making up the numbers.

I would be very surprised if we don't have 3 sides on 16 premierships come October.
