Lachy Henderson kicked 25 goals 11 from 19 games in his first year at Carlton, at just under 2 shots a game. He had a spell in the early-mid season in the seconds but IMHO really found some form and a niche as the season progressed - his shots from the pocket were very accurate and great to see (probably our best kick from the angles).

In his last 4 games he kicked 10 goals 3, and despite some low stats - and some dropped marks in the final - he was able to get into the games enough to get over 3 shots on goal per match, which given how accurate he has shown to be, could be a great omen for 2011 and beyond.

I'd like to think he could go from 25 goals to 40 in 2011 and become a permanent fixture in the team. training reports talk about his size and at his age he should be getting stronger in the upper body, so the signs are good. How many, hendo?

Apparently (because he dropped a couple of marks) he's a dud and won't ever be a decent player.

I just wish he'd had the courage to attempt to kick number 26. He'll learn from that....

I reckon we've got a gem in Hendo. without putting exact figures on it, I'd like to see something in the realm of 40+ next year.

..depends on how he's used.. ..but i think 40 is a fair and reasonable target if kept closer to goal, even though he's more a roaming old school CHF type in my opinion.. ..he's got some good fitness though, so he could very well kick around 40, and still play a lead-up type role..

For what its worth, Henderson could become as big an impact on the game as Roo. Definately not a dud at all, and with some hard work, self belief and confidence should top 30 this season and be worth 40 to 50 per season on average after that. Needs to work on a one grab mark, and get his body strong which will without a doubt come with age. Like how he has improved and will do so with the better coaching crew we have working our kids now.

Has shown me no reason he can't become anything and has benefits coming to a side without a tall forward. Staying with the Lions to be left in Browns shadow would have helped develop him. Needs to be out there creating his own opportunities under pressure. Will help build and develop his character and some agro in his attitude. Footy is so much about attitude and he will be a little gem. Just need to be patient with this kid. Him and Special-K will become future stars in the forward 50m IMO.

65 goals for Hendo in 2011, including one bag of 9 against Essendon*.

Both I and Teddy Jnr predicted Hendo would be a gun from the day we got him. Don't for a minute deviate from that even when he was dropped this year. Shows aerobic ability, aggression, good kicking skills. Just needs a little more self confidence.

35-40 goals. from CHF.

Given Fev's latest fuck-up, I don't think Hendo has to do much for us to have won that trade

I really like what I saw from Henderson in 2010, yes, he made mistakes and clearly has plenty of development left in him, but he also has potential. It's up to the club to ensure Lachie gets the tuition he needs to maximise his talent.

47 goals.

If Henderson can kick over 50 in 2011 then Carlton will be top 4

More interested in goal assists and marks which is why I agree with 35-40 goals max from CHF. Hoping he can get the leg right first and do enough in the remaining off-season to add a little more muscle to the (approx) 94kg frame.

In fact Warnock/Kreuzer combination should kick more goals than Lachie.

Here we all are talking about how many goals Henderson is going to kick in 2011 and then comes
along Ratten, who decides to play him in the back line !! :banghead:
