A class below a full stregth WC side. These guys are musts if we are to do any damage in Sept:

Duigan
Waite
Robbo
Hammer
Curnow
Jammo
Laidler

We don't have the depth we thought. Lost the tackle count today.......one of the rare times this year that's happened.

My fiance and I were going to go to this game, but we ended up deciding not too at the last minute - what a great decision that was!

Ended up turning onto the Port / North match at half time....disgraceful!

We were always going to struggle with no Jamo, Waite, Robbo, Curnow, Laidler, Duigan etc

THUMP

Move on peoples. :|

really need to get the core of our defence back up and running.

Laidler, Duigan, Jamo, & Bower hurry up and get better/come back.

Waitey need you in ASAP too fella.

We were undersized today, and our key mids got well beaten.

We were bound to drop one sooner or later

WC exposed our lack of height down back and losing Jamo early was a killer

Need to go back and re group now and re assess the setup

Hopefully the Jamo injury was not to bad because he is the rock down back

4 weeks ago we had so much depth but in the space of a month we have lost
Waite - Hammer - Duigan- Laidler - Jamo Robbo - Curnow

7 first up players - 1/3 of the team

No excuses they were simply a lot better

Still amazed at how many times Bowers name gets brought up....

We were up against it today but needed to find a way to win. We seemed to play into their talls hands for the whole game (except start of the third).

Good teams find a way to win when they are down on personnel, we didn't.

We have the depth to cover one at a time. Not 4 or 5.

Still we got smashed at our own game on our own ground. Doesnt feel good.

Lets see how we bounce back against the Tigers.

Exactly no excuses....Hawks are just as undermanned but obviously have more depth in the list....maybe they do bat deeper haha

Played 15 minutes of footy and looked a flat as pancakes all day.

We didn't just get beaten, we got bashed up. Manhandled all day and no retaliation at all.

Soft as butter for the whole game, no run, just awful.

Looked like the Bombers of the past few weeks.

First time WC has beaten us over here since 2002; they were really whipped up to beat us today; and struck us on a day when we were down; and went further down with every minute of the game.

I haven't been happy with all of the ''Flag'' talk this week in the Media; including a 2 page writeup today.....perhaps we've started believing it.

Can't blame it all on injuries.

We didn't go hard enough at stoppages for large parts of the game.
Also when we did have opportunities to take contested marks we didn't.

West coast took advantage of weak umpiring to rough us up too.

I forgot just how f€%#ing horrible and intolerable Weagles supporters are when they're winning

True they probably do. They were also up against the bombers though.

WC were on a mission from the 3/4 of last weeks games against Port. Full credit to them. They needed a big scalp in melb and they got one. They robbed us of our strength and utilised their strengths to the max.

Time for us to regroup and bounce back against the tigers. It wont be easy.

Missing personnel hurt. However the rest of the side didn't step up and seemed to give up in the last.

Let's hope we get Waite, Laidler, Robbo and Curnow back next week.

Definitely not happy with the loss but in the long run it may work for us in giving everyone some balance. I was very unhappy with the string of gutless away from the ball sniping, mainly by lynch. It was obvious it was a tactic decided on before the game as he wasn't alone but he consistently got away with hits that should be reviewed tomorrow eg Murphy and Kreuzer.

We had to drop a game some time, better now than later. Move on with a more complete defence next week.
