Over the years certain things would happen where you could sit back and relax, knowing that we would win, conversely some days things just weren't right and you would know it would be a long day. Does anyone else have key signs early in games that tell you what's going to happen?

eg.

Good day - Peter Dean kicks a goal
Bad day - Peter Dean starts in the forward line (end of 1994)

Good day - Craig Bradley kicks a goal in the first couple of minutes (95' flag)
Bad day - Craig Bradley runs half the ground to tell the umpire he thinks the ball is flat (86' GF)

Good day - Fevola chases a player down from behind and snaps a goal
Bad day - Fevola spits the dummy and gives away 50

Good day - reserves lose but senior players perform well
Bad day - I was always nervous when the twos won easily

Good day: SOS is playing, no big bags from the opposition
Bad day: SOS not playing, we look a bit vulnerable down back

We went through a stage where SOS was a late withdrawal a few times around 92-93 so I'd be nervous until I could see him run out on the ground.

those were the days when he would play a half at centre half back and then go forward if we were behind.

I think that was more 1990, when Jezza was coach.

Played more at FB under Parkin from mid-92 onwards after he hurt his ankle taking speccy's in the forwardline early 92.

I like this one

We would break every team's spirit if we got this one happening consistently.
...and the Premiership Qtr goes allright too. We started that. I'm sure we own the slogan.

Good Day: The crust on the pie is crisp enough to hold the filling which is perfectly hot and there is a beautifult juxtaposition of flaky pastry, warm moist meat an cols refreshing sauce

Bad Day: Soggy Crust, pie breaks, Pie top separates off base, filling dribbles down face or onto footy record, Pie is either way too hot and suffer minor burns, or is cold and unenjoyable and full of gristle

The banner was disintegrated in the rain and wind this year at the SCG.

Bad day: There is a pause/delay in the match because the scoreboard at the MCG and the guys seem focused on that for the rest of the night.

Good day: minimal queues at the bar

Bad day: some fat pissed turd (Essendon* or Collingwood supporter usually) bumps into you as you're taking your tray of beers that you waited in line for 15 minutes for back to your mates, and manages to spill most of them, mostly on you, and doesn't even offer an apology, let alone offer to buy some more.
