Just picked up my brand new IX35 Highlander today and I am very happy with the car. The only reason why I bought a Hyundai is because of their sponsorship of Carlton. I also have a Hyundai Getz. The added benefit I now get for being a Carlton member is I receive $1,000 cash back from Hyundai. I bargained very hard with the dealer and on the side I get another $1,000 off. Anyone else take advantage of this offer or go out of their way to support our sponsors? GO BLUES |

GO BLUES jeez Clayman, massive props respect for your loyalty to our Korean sponsors (wtf), can't say I'd ever contemplate buying a Korean made car, but geez do I eat a heap of Mars Bars, which I buy by the recycled Visy boxfull |

I was really into supporting the sponsors when Dan Murphy's were on board. I was a long time Optus customer too until I decided no amount of sponsorship was worth putting up with their service. |

I had a mate suggest that I stand out the front of a Hyundai dealer and flog off the key ring! it is important to note he is a collingwood supporter and probably would have tried to knock off the car after! ![]() |

CUB have done well out of me. I haven't attempted to overthrow the Malaysian government recently either...think that's only fair. |

Clayman, i am aboutto purchase iX35 as well and leaning towards this car is probably more so as a result of the sponsorship (the $1000 cash back also played a part ![]() I agree that as a Carlton member it is worthwhile supporting the club sponsors. And i am not sure what people are complaining about with Hyundai, a very good value for money proposition. Heck, it hasn't stopped Holden adding Korean imports to most of their local range! ![]() |

Anyway, you're right, Korean cars, esp Hyundai, have come a long way. ![]() Personally, I don't support our sponsors too much. Have never liked Mars cars much either, haha. For a while I did feel a loyalty to Optus, but that was helped mostly by Telstra's crap offerings. Since Telstra has improved their mobile plans etc it made sense for me to flick Optus in favour for a better product at the same price (suited my needs anyway). |

I use optus but hadn't really taken any notice of special offers. Will have to refer to the list (if there is one) from now on. |

Not sure what Holden’s plans are now but they did change their strategy for the small-mid car range by sourcing models from GM Daewoo instead of Opel a number of years ago. Some models were better than other (that Viva though ![]() Korea is probably following the same progression as Japan did decades ago. Reaching a point where they have enough intellectual and engineering prowess to compete equally on the world stage and I certainly don’t see much difference in build quality between Korean and Oz cars. Europe is still ahead and knowing people in the design and engineering areas in various automotive companies, the Europeans still pour more money in design, development and engineering per car produced than either Korea or Oz (especially Oz nowadays!) As far as I am concerned, they are on par and it comes down to a value proposition and with Hyundai’s outstanding support of our club, that certainly has pushed my business towards them |

Sportingbet is the only online betting agency I still bet through...even though their product is far inferior to some of the other alternatives and their ads border on embarassing. They sponsor Carlton, I feel compelled to keep my account with them. ....and I'll win their tipping comp this year. |

As a diehard Jordan fan and sneakerhead, it's pretty easy for me to buy all the official Nike Carlton gear. The hoody and track jacket have been recent additions. |
