Has anyone else had dreams about the mighty Blues? I had one last night where we were playing Geelong. Scores were tied at 111 points each at the end of the game, but in this match there was 10 minutes "extra time" of 2 x 5 minute halves. All the players were spent. Judd collapsed in the centre square through sheer exhaustion and smashed his nose on the ground and had to be carried off and was spewing up the whole way back to bench. I must've dreamt that it was on telly because when I turned back we were up 117-111 with only 2 minutes of game time left.... when my alarm went off. |

I have dreams of Warnock staying on the ground telling the umpire he's no good to take a kick. |

I have a recurring dream whereby I go back in time and am employed by 1910 Carlton Secretary Alex Ford to investigate the match-fixing which the Committee believes has infiltrated members of the playing group. I set up surveillance headquarters in a barber shop in Collingwood, strategically placed across the street from John Wren's tote he had constructed behind a tobacconist’s shop in Johnstone Street. I intercept Alex “Bongo” Lang and Douglas Gillespie coming out of the laneway and let them see my Colt .38 Special while conducting a patdown on both players. On their persons are £47...a lot of money in 1910. I take the cash from them and tell them next time they gamble they lose more than their money. I report back to Secretary Ford and tell him to inform the committee that these men are guilty of nothing, merely the subject of rumor and innuendo. Lang, Gillespie and Fraser all play in the 1910 Grand Final and we crush Collingwood to the tune of 28 points. |

I often dream about Juddy. Don't worry, it's not sexual.... Yeah, usually we're sitting really close together on a train. He's eating a banana and I'm holding a bottle of champagne. Anyway, the train goes into a tunnel and, as everything goes dark, the champagne bottle pops open. ....but it's not sexual... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I had a dream last night about this weekend's game against the Eagles. It was tomorrow (Saturday) and I turn on Foxtel to watch the footy. To my surprise its Carlton v West Coast. I went into a state of meltdown, convinced the game was meant to be on a Sunday. No matter how hard I try I can't find fixtures that confirm the game was meant to be the next day. I was staggered, utterly perplexed that Dad and I weren't going to the game. We've been to every game in Melbourne since I was six and for some reason we had no idea the game was on Saturday. I sat watching it, we were playing ok, definitely on top in the early stages of the match, before deciding to go to the game. It was one of those dreams that feels real. Usually I can distinguish when something is a dream, but on odd occasions like this I can't. It was really annoying. |
