Pros:
- Kreuzer. Back in a big way.
- Murph, Walker, Gibbs, Yarran all class
- Hammer (also see cons)
- Tackling again a highlight
- Taking advantage of opportunities and punishing turnovers

Cons:
- The first 15 minutes. Still need to work on those slow starts
- The last quarter. Yes, we had injuries and the like, but for a team to double their score in the last when you've got them on toast, not good enough
- Hammer :(
- Thought Eddie was disappointing, and Hendo struggled to get into it. Curnow's still not the player he was before his injury, but if Ellard doesn't come up he'd be safe from wearing red next week.
- Carlton supporters bronx cheering Hendo. You @#$%&! morons.

KREUZER!
Murph, Jamo, Gibbs, Carrots, Tex, Hammer, Rusty, Yaz, Simmo
Flogging a good team, even though a few of our guys had down days
The third quarter

CON
Hammer getting injured
Letting up in the last. Should have been a 10 goal win
Hendo passing off from within 55. Have a shot Son.

Goalkicking spread. 15 goals shared between 10 players is fantastic.

Didn't hear any Bronx jeers myself. Poor form though.

Pros
- Yarran "GIVE IT TO YARRAN FOR @#$%&!'S SAKE!")
- Murphy (3 votes M Murphy)
- Kreuze (he's turned into an absolute beast)
- Russell (good game after some down ones)
- Third quarter was brilliant
- Beating the Swans by 5 goals

Cons
- Duigan didn't have a great one
- Ditto Betts
- Hendo struggled a bit but second game back
- Awful start
- Was disappointing to let them outscore us in the final term
- Didn't beat the Swans by 10 goals

Thought Duigan did some good things today. He has a heap of courage. Almost enough to be an emergency for Essendon*.

Henderson's workrate in the first half was non-existent, just appalling.

Pros

The great big beautiful Special K man. Made me smile the whole game just to see him out there, let alone BOG. He really could be THE difference between a good September and a GREAT one.

3rd quarter was nearly flawless. 6 snags against the stingey Swans and they only 1 point :smoking:

So many in form players - Murph, Yazz, Robbo, Jamo, Walks, Carrots, Gibbs

Juddy very dangerous resting fwd

Cons

Hammer
Junk time goals (the whole last Q was effectively junk time)

Swans had defenders camped in front of him in the first half leaving little opportunity.

Was a key player in our 3rd quarter performance when the Swans dropped off.

Pros

Yarran and Kreuzer - sublime !

Con

Mitch's hair dye

PROS
Good win ag. a nemesis
Big K fabulous
Murphy, Gibbs and Yarran excellent
Hammer terrific until injured, let's hope he is okay as he is just finding his way and offers much more physical contest than Warnock (tho not as good a palmer)
Pretty ugly game but we won easily, we are way better than last year and a near certainty for top four

CONS
Hendo - that's one of the worst first halfs of footy I have seen since his game ag Essendon*. Didn't touch it. MArginally better in the second half. Lacks anything outstanding in his game. Maybe better suited at half back. Certainly not a lock that he is better value than Setanta.
Banner - Cheer squad hang your head in shame. I copied down the verse for posterity - 'Smash these Bloods / Come on Blues / They don't care/ They got rid of Roos'. Our poet laureate should be banned from any more attempts at verse after that. Maybe just put Go Blues on the banner.

I watched Henderson closely. Numerous opportunities to work his ar*e off on a long lead and present himself, but did nothing. Yes, second half improved.

We lost the high five count. Goodes efforts in this regard are quite extraordinary. What a flog.

They had complete control for the best part of the second quarter we manage to hold back out score them and then sieze the momentum in the third -

One of the better defensive efforts I have seen for a long time by the Blues

Kruezer was just brilliant today
Carrots I thought was really good
Yarren is a pleasure to watch

down side was Hammer - He was brilliant until he went off easily playing his best game and the marks were starting to stick - His second efforts were Kruezer like

Pros:

Forget Denzel and his train, try stopping Kreuzer! Unstoppable today.
Gibbs and Murphy ... Wow wee
Yarran ... Wow wee
Rusty was great today
Robbo and Walker
Resting in the last quarter with a huge game to come next week.

You got the feeling at the game today that Carlton supporters wanted Henderson to make an error so that they could rip into him.

His first half was poor from a performance point of view as well as workrate. However he rebounded in the third quarter and gave us something extra up forward. He appears to be a confidence player and I'm guessing it wouldn't help him when his own supporters can't wait to get stuck into him.

Pros:
Stoppage goals...Kreuzer's palming at throw ins/ball ups was sensational. The one which resulted in the Yarran goal was champagne football.
Complete game from Bryce Gibbs...Goodes got some delivery which he couldn't stop but just about everything Gibbs did was quality.
Carrots another good game, he has been in good form recently.
Win comfortably without the captain having a dominant game.

just a question - have we put the rich v yarran argument to rest? I know who i would want....and we have him!

Hendo - whats wrong with some supporters? We are meant to support, not the opposite! Seems some are half blinde, he had 3+ players on him at one point. One thing does annoy me about hendo, he aint selfish. i dont like these handballs when he marks the ball.
